In this case, natural obstacles were added to the signal shielding due to the concrete walls. The most effective way out of this situation was to connect a 4G modem via a USB extension cable and bring the device to a higher point. We also tried to create contact between the modem and the TV antenna using copper wire, but this method did not give the same result as using an extension cord. The greatest effect was achieved for the TV antenna, which was made independently, using a metal gasket from the engine. If the antenna is factory-made and does not have a wide reflective surface, then the efficiency of the Internet signal reception increases by no more than 15–20%. The antenna of Kharchenko or its analogs well amplifies the Internet signal and increases the speed. If you strengthen an antenna of this type on a wooden pole 3-4 meters long and place it on the roof of a house or on a balcony, then the radio signal power level and the speed of the 4G modem will increase by 40-50%.

These methods have proven most effective when working with low-power tablets, when the base station is not in the line of sight, and the built-in antenna of the tablet is not powerful enough for reliable signal reception. The use of a resonator antenna practically does not give the desired result. The signal with the help of such a device can be amplified only if the distance to the base station does not exceed one kilometer and there are no obstacles in the signal path.
