Design, construction and equipment

There are several versions of the device. In addition to single and dual SIM, there is a modification with support for LTE networks, but it differs in hardware and screen, and it is not in a hurry to come to our country, so we got a version with support for two microSIM cards. There are two colors - white and black. The phone comes in a traditional box with its main features. Curiously, Snap partners with Le Tour De France and has P2i splash protection. The device itself is hidden inside (we got it in black), various instructions, good earbuds with a call answer button, a microUSB-USB cable and a charger unit (1000 mAh).

On the front side of the smartphone, in addition to a 4.5" qHD screen made using TFT technology and far from the best in quality, but covered with Dragontrail glass, you can see light and proximity sensors, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, an LED, a speaker and three touch-sensitive control keys under the display with a very bright white backlight. There is nothing on the left side of the device, on the right side you can see only the volume rocker. The top end is equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a power button, and the bottom is equipped with a microUSB port and a microphone.

On the back side there is an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, a second microphone, a multimedia speaker. Slots for two micro-SIMs and a microSD memory card are hidden under the cover. The battery of the novelty is not removable.

The smartphone is very comfortable in the hand, but the glossy easily soiled body and not the highest quality TFT screen spoil the impression somewhat, as a result of which Snap feels very budgetary, especially against the background of the Alcatel One Touch Idol smartphone (review), which is sold for the same 9990 rubles. Software

Unlike Alcatel One Touch Star (review) and Idol, Snap runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean with all its inherent features. The interface itself, however, is somewhat simpler, it is a little more “naked”, and the pre-installed software does not differ from the other two models, so I will not focus on this, but will only talk about a couple of differences.

BesAudEnh headphone amplifier appeared in Sound Profiles, making the sound more voluminous, but much dirtier. In the battery settings, only the percentage status remained (the ability to save processor power was gone), in Gestures, the ability to lock the screen with the palm of your hand disappeared. The SwiftKey 3 keyboard is still pre-installed and available to choose as your primary typing method, which is nice.

Otherwise, the software stuffing is identical, with the exception of the SIM-card switching manager in Snap. Its functionality is standard for Android, like all other programs.

Camera

An 8-megapixel module with autofocus, flash and support for recording Full HD-video produces a very decent quality for its class, both photos and videos. I would like to note quick focusing when recording videos, not the worst electronic stabilizer, high-quality sound recording. Photos come out without strong noise, even in low light conditions. Performance and Benchmarks

The smartphone is based on a quad-core MT6589 processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, has 1 GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX544 graphics chip. This iron is more than enough for comfortable operation of the device, but, alas, only in theory, since Snap sometimes slows down for unclear reasons.
