The use of these systems is generally free.

However, this solution has a number of serious disadvantages. At first they lack many very useful features. In particular, on all systems (with the exception of Skype) there is no group chats, message read confirmation functions, etc. Secondly, IM chats absolutely unmanageable across the organization. Each employee has his own account, with which he is free to do whatever he wants. This raises the problem of control over employee correspondence, access to the message archive, creation of “corporate” numbers, etc.

Thirdly, usage IM clients- potential threat information security companies. And we are talking not only about technical issues (for example, the risk of downloading infected files, clicking on dangerous links, etc.), which can be successfully dealt with. IM chats are one of the main channels for leakage of confidential information, which, among other things, is rather difficult to control by DLP systems.
