Voltage stabilizer defender avr initial 1000va manual. Defender voltage stabilizers. Many sockets and a long cord

The history of the Defender brand began in 1990. Now the brand unites many different products under its name: keyboards and mice, speakers and headphones, webcams and video recorders, surge protectors and voltage stabilizers, universal card readers, various gaming devices and much more.
The range of voltage stabilizers is quite narrow and covers only network models up to 1 kW power. Country of origin: China.
The maximum input voltage range is limited by the limits of 150-280V.
The main purpose: protection of audio, video and computer equipment from voltage surges in the network, impulse noise. Very often you can find it on radio markets, various hypermarkets of the Eldorado or Technosila format.

Reviews of voltage stabilizers Defender

DEFENDER 1000VA. It gets very hot, 245 volts at the output, it all starts with an inoperative power button. I have two such miracles hanging ...
(http://www.rom.by) Defender is cheap and not accurate. And it is also possible that the sound will not affect for the better.

Better to buy a normal surge protector. Not a Defender. Or connect everything to the UPS ... IMHO, it will be better ...
(http://forum.doctorhead.ru/) Defender AVR iPower 1000VA has been working for the second month. So far so good. No complaints. As I understand it, a click means that there was a voltage drop. We do not click often, but it does.

Many sockets and a long cord

This surge protector is not a panacea for all ills, of course. But the main protection against short circuit and overload is available here. Yes, and turning off the general power switch is convenient for my case.
pros: There are many sockets, there are five of them and all with a grounded contact (which has a positive effect not only on electrical safety, but also on increasing the noise immunity of devices). A long wire, actually thrown across the entire room of 17 sq. meters was enough.
Minuses: What could be wrong in such a simple design? Perhaps the materials, but they are quite practical here.
(http://abc.ru/) I've been using Defender for a long time. not only multifunctional, but also high quality. Plus - they are in almost all stores, you don't need to look for something. I read the specification on the site, chose the right one and go ahead and buy. Another point - an affordable price

Not satisfied with the work of the stabilizer

I bought a stabilizer Defender AVR Real 1000. With the purchase of this stabilizer, there was a small mistake, there is an option to return it or change it, the whole thing takes 14 days. The question is - the stabilizer is stepwise, how should it work? Familiar with the operation of step stabilizers. But I don't like how this one works. It is possible to check it only at reduced voltage.
In general, this is how it works - I measure the voltage in the network 200 - 205 V. The output of the stabilizer is exactly the same voltage.... 198 - 200 V. in the network, the output is the same. As the voltage in the network falls below 196 - 197 volts, it begins to stabilize and outputs + - 230 V. I don't like this a sharp jump from 196 to 230 volts.
I believe that stores should indicate the principle of operation, for example, of these devices, since stabilizers are divided by type. As an ignorant person, I bought this miracle, hoping to raise the voltage from 200V, which we usually have in the network to + -230 V.
In the characteristics, the output voltage is written - 220 V ± 10%. I never thought that he would give me 200 volts. Just like in the network and plus this jump from 196 to 230 V.
Explain, maybe I don't understand something, how this miracle should work. Why does it only give 230V when the voltage is reduced in the network (197 - 196 V.), and not at 200 V.? I think 200V is already a reduced voltage.

Transformer whispers, large error

At home there is a defender 1000VA. There are no special complaints about the stabilization. Fine. The voltage from 160 to 240V raises / lowers approximately to 210-230. Of the minuses - a little trance buzzing, but it's just such a specimen. A few more customers have 1500VA. The same is all right. Stabilization is based on multi-winding trance and relay switching (sort of). Another of the minuses - there are not so many windings of these, therefore, the stabilization step is relatively large. Plus, it is good if the voltage in the network is simply too low, or drops in the evenings. It will protect against strong surges (for example, lightning), or rather, it will work too slowly. I would advise, if from inexpensive ones, it is better to take a crawler. More reliable, more turns, better electronics + there is an indicator (volmeter) of the input voltage and output voltage. (at home and this one is also worth it)

Small dimensions of the transformer and control board

Defender AVR Premium 1000.
The inside of the device is very ergonomic ... However I didn't like the workmanship much.
For example, some wires were pinched between parts of the case, and a couple of extraneous pieces of solder hung on the transformer, which can easily cause a short circuit if they fall off.
The transformer itself, placed in a molded plastic mount, looks frankly small. In any case, its dimensions are noticeably more modest in comparison with the Ippon AVR-1000 and even more so with the SVEN AVR-1000. This, albeit indirectly, but quite truthfully speaks of the maximum power.
The electronics shawl is also small. On it one unidentified microcircuit installed labeled OMVK2P301, which is most likely a set of several operational amplifiers. The transformer windings are switched by three YX202-S-112D relays with a rated current of 10 amperes, which already indicates the minimum number of control steps. Of the pleasant, only the presence of enough large varistor against impulse noise.
Expert conclusion: Defender AVR Premium 1000 is a classic voltage regulator operating from 160 V. Among all three models, the device is characterized by the lowest power and weak margin of safety at the highest price.
(http://tech-labs.ru/) After the failure of more than one household appliance device out of order and the refusal of warranty repair due to unstable voltage, I had to take action, I bought a Defender AVR REAL 600. I'm calm about TVs and CD players ... Although by the flickering of the yellow and red indicators quite often it is clear that not everything is all right with the tension!
Reliable, easy to use, compact, practically silent, helped out more than once in 2 years, so I recommend ...
(http://utinet.ru/) I bought myself a Defender system, and the consultant offered to take the Defender AVR REAL 2000 stabilizer. Since it looked quite stylish and was inexpensive, I agreed. At home, he just fit perfectly into the interior, worked quietly and unnoticed... And then it rained and the flap shorted, so a lot of equipment in the house burned out, and my system remained working. Then I read on the Internet that it not only lowers high voltage, but also raises low voltage.
Pluses: Reliable stabilizer, powerful, I have it system unit and plasma TV are connected with a receiver, everything pulls out, although most of the time we have a voltage in the network of 180-200 V.
Disadvantages: Several times after disconnecting due to a voltage drop, I did not want to turn on immediately, apparently the relay did not work, it was possible to turn it on only after a day ...

Stabilizer Defender 1000VA: review and recall

Today I decided to tell you about a useful thing - a voltage stabilizer.
It is irreplaceable because even in the largest settlements, the tension will jump. A surge protector will not do anything about this, all that is in it are noise suppression resistors. The stabilizer can equalize the voltage in a minimum time or completely disconnect the load. Such a stabilizer was purchased complete with refrigerator to serve it.
At that time - the 11th year, it was the best that could be found in the non-industrial sector.

What is this stabilizer in practice?
  1. The sellers sincerely claimed that 1 kW of the stabilizer is enough for one compressor. It turned out that no. The minimum is 1.5 kW. When starting the compressor, it is not uncommon the refrigerator was resetting the freezing program and re-started the compressor and so on up to 5 times,
  2. at the same time, the stabilizer frantically clicked and changed the operating modes from normal to the mode of increasing the power supply. The capacity of 1 kW was clearly not enough.
  3. Weals with the defender 1000va started after a few months, but at first they were ignored. The freezing temperature was rising on the refrigerator and after a while she returned to normal.
  4. A year later, 200-210 volts appeared at the output of the stabilizer instead of the required 220, although it was 220 at the input. The stabilizer began to do harm, not good.
  5. After days of buzz the stabilizer is out of order... This manifested itself in the fact that he turned on the red light (red indicator) and reported that the voltage was so much beyond the permissible range that he could no longer stabilize it. Repeated attempts did not bring luck. A few days later, the stabilizer started working on its own again, but for how long? The network was stable at 220-230 volts.
Conclusion: the surge protectors of the same company are also not of good quality, now the stabilizers too ...
(http://comuedu.ru) There is a stabilizer Defender AVR Real 1500. Everywhere on the Internet I read that stabilizers cannot be used with ungrounded sockets.
Mine has been working on it for a couple of years now. But here's what surprises me: the stabilizer has 5 sockets (output) and all without grounding. Just because I have already changed the 4th adsl-modem in a year and a half (they are stuck into the same stabilizer) ...

Defender stabilizer for sound

After moving to another area, there was a problem with the power supply - the voltage often subsides, after one such drop, the CD-player simply went out during playback.
It did not take long to wait - when the click of the relay and the indicator notified of the work for a raise, the tester showed 207 V in the outlet. The voltage walked from 190 to 212 V, the output of the stabilizer was from 233 to 240 V.
I listened to the whole disc. During this time, the stabilizer switched three or four times.
His work did not affect the technique in any way, I did not hear clicks in the speakers. With all my efforts, I did not notice any degradation of sound - neither in the normal mode, nor in the increase mode (the stabilizer worked to decrease the stabilizer once during the day, was in this mode for no more than a second, so measurements, including psychoacoustic ones, did not have time).
Except for the clicks of the relay, the device is silent, you can hear the hum of transformers if you put your ear to the case.
At the same time, the stabilizer heats up quite noticeably, the floor under it is hot. It is inconvenient, in my opinion, that the button on the front panel does not disconnect the device from the network - the stabilizer continues to click the relay, but without indication.
As a result, I can recommend Defender AVR REAL for budget solutions- I don't think that on such systems one can hear the negative effect of such stabilizers on the sound - without fanaticism and for the technique, it's not scary.
(http://electrik.org) Standard voltage regulator, closer to pilots in performance. There will be no particular use from it with serious voltage fluctuations, but in case of small deviations it copes quite tolerably.

BEARING ARSENAL

Pluses: Everything is super!

Disadvantages: No

Comments: I bought two pieces 1.5 years ago = normal flight! They plow at their best!

Mitrofanov Alexey

Experience of use: several years.

Advantages: Lightweight, compact.

Disadvantages: An obscenely short power cord. There is no voltmeter (here a disclaimer follows: it is better to let it not exist at all than its imitation - with a permanently displayed value of "220 V", as for the imbecile. The 1000 VA power declared on the "Yandex market" is erroneous. This is the model number. active power is indicated as maximum 320 W. With the usually assumed cos f = 0.7: 320 / 0.7 = 457 VA, we take the nearest one - 500 VA. Not 1000!

Comments: The output voltage range fully complies with GOST: 220 V +/- 10%. This means that the device will not give any "improvement" in voltage. But if there are deviations up or down, he does an excellent job. Checked with LATRom: it turns off exactly as stated by the manufacturer 175 and 285 (!) V. Better suited for increased voltage. Stabilization begins to work after 240 V - the relay clicks and the voltage drops (abruptly! Frequent such reductions are hardly useful) to 211 V. At 262 => 230, at 274 => 240V. Overall, I liked it.

And if we take into account that the manufacturer indicated a rated current of 1.3 A, then the power: P = U * I * cos f = 220 * 1.3 * 0.7 = 200 VA. Absolutely silent, it has been working for more than three years and I don’t even bother that something could happen, inspires great confidence, compact as to the fact that this is not just a filter but a Stabilizer, I watched the price on the Internet so it only went up from the moment of purchase, weighty means not dummy, I think it is assembled from decent components.

The presence of 2 sockets, wires and a switch :)

I would like more connected devices, but there are only two outlet sockets, however, I consider this a minor minus (even I would say a design feature), it happens when a voltage surge at night triggers a characteristic click, but I got used to this for more than three years, so that in a big way there are no minuses!

Weak (about 300 V-A), only 3 steps - 1 down, 2 - up, at 173 V goes into defense, although the output is 203 V, i.e. too early. No overload protection, no voltmeter (s). Well, in fact, this is not a stabilizer.

Deception of gullible customers in the store, in the name 1000. Wow 1000 W but not just 320. The relay clicks loudly when switching to stabilization mode, moreover, this happens often if the voltage jumps from 233 to 239 resembles the chirping of an annoying grasshopper. In this case, the following happens: at the input 239 at the output 210 at the input 233 at the output 233 stabilization is turned off, I think that household appliances do not like such jumps.

I bought it hoping for a stabilization of 220 + 10%, that is, for example, 199-200 and in theory it should raise it by 10% to about 220V. In reality, he doesn't care, the voltage in the network ranges from 180 to 218, usually 195 - this stabilizer does not stabilize anything at all at these levels - ZERO! after this lousy stabilizer, CyberPower CP1500EAVRLCD is connected to the computer, so it instantly reacts and starts stabilizing from 200V, increasing to a normal level and showing the input voltage that comes from this so-called "stabilizer" for 2500r ....

This stabilizer is a Russian brand, produced in foreign countries. The stabilizer is designed to protect household appliances. The model is supplied in a cardboard box. The kit includes a warranty card and operating instructions.

The body of the device is made of black plastic. There are cooling grilles below and above. On the top panel of the Defender AVR Initial 1000 gimbal there are two socket outlets with a ground connection, and in the Initial 2000 there are 4 outlets. There are also 3 indicators that indicate:

    • Green - network.
    • Red is protection.
    • Yellow is stabilization.

There is a power switch on the front of the device. It should be noted the overall dimensions of the devices. The smaller device has a compact size, is made in the form of a small case, which can easily fit on a bedside table near. Its older brother, the Initial 2000 stabilizer, has noticeably large dimensions and power. For him, you need to allocate a separate place in the room.

    Technical specifications:

    • The highest current is 10 amperes.
    • The highest output power is 320 watts.
    • Input voltage - 175 - 285 volts.
    • Output voltage - 198 - 242 V.
    • The highest dissipation energy is 180 J.
    • The number of sockets is 2 with grounding.
    • Body color - black.
    • Wire length - 0.6 m.
    • Dimensions - 140 x 115 x 110 mm.
    • Weight - 1.38 kg.

    Functionality:

    • Overvoltage and undervoltage protection.
    • Overload and short circuit protection.
    • Protection against overheating of the transformer of the device.
    • Impulse protection.

    Modes of operation

To connect the device to work, insert the plug of the cord into the socket of the household power supply and turn the power switch to the on position. The Network indicator on the front panel is on.

The device has three operating modes, which are indicated by LED indicators:

    1. Normal mode (green).
    2. Stabilization mode (yellow indicator). Lights up if the voltage is overvoltage or undervoltage and is within the permissible range.
    3. Emergency mode (red indicator). It works if the voltage is outside the permissible range, or the transformer has overheated. During this time, the sockets are turned off to prevent malfunctions of the connected devices.

Features of the stabilizer defender avr initial 1000va:

    • Low cost of the device.
    • Sufficient power to connect two household devices.
    • Good quality of the device.
    • Fast response time of the device, timely disconnection of connected devices, which saves equipment from malfunctions.
    • No noise (only clicks are heard).
    • No heating of the device case.

When choosing such a voltage stabilizer, it is necessary to pay attention to the upper and lower limits of operation, at which the device performs its functions efficiently. If you go beyond the permissible limits of your power supply, it is better to choose a stabilizer of another brand that has a wider operating interval.
