Magnetic usb cable type c 9mm. Magnetic USB Cable - USB Type-C Mantis V.2 - Black. How not to kill a smartphone with a magnetic cable

I bought a cool and very convenient wire. Not wireless charging, but still very convenient. It is friendly with high currents, charges Android and iPhone. Even for fast charging, it comes in handy - it holds Qualcomm Quick Charge 2/3, analogues from Apple, Huawei and Mediatekl.

Applies to all magnetic wires: if you use it inattentively, you can burn your smartphone. Or the whole apartment.

Is the "magnetic" charging cable convenient?

"Magnetic" cable it would be more correct to call "Plug-in cable" ... The main part consists of a regular wire, a USB connector for connecting to a charger, and a contact pad with a powerful magnet.

The charging part is connected to it, consisting of a connector, a magnet and contacts. This part is inserted into the port of the device for charging. The magnets in the 2 parts of the cable are attracted at a distance of 1 to 5 centimeters, providing a strong connection and connecting the device to the charger.

What is good about the "magnetic" cable? A bunch of pluses:

no need to lift the cable and try to get the connector into the port of the smartphone,
there is no risk of breaking the port with a connector,
the connector pins are not damaged.

And if the first is just convenience, then the replacement of the connector is the most common reason for the appearance of the device in the service. Break out the port - like 2 fingers on the asphalt. What's iPhone, what's Android.

By eliminating the need to plug the cable into the device every time you charge, you actually save your smartphone.

About convenience: you need to put your smartphone near the cable, and the wire will connect itself. Almost like wireless charging, only any smartphone does not need a case. Well, or almost unnecessary.

How to choose the right one?

For experimentation, I chose several cables: Moizen M4, Newest and unnamed. As it turned out, this is the same wire with a different price and store number, similar to my old SDL with one plug.

Includes meter wire and connectors: microUSB, Lightning, USB Type-C(not available in Moizen). The properties are pretty tempting: metal braid, neat plastic USB plug, well-formed part with a magnetic pad.

Also on the magnetic pad of the cable there is an LED that signals the connection of the wire to the charger or computer.

The question arises - how did you manage to implement a "blind" connection without looking at your smartphone? After all, the microUSB, Lightning and USB Type-C interfaces have a clear sequence of contacts for charging. The Chinese have found an elegant solution for this cable.

The magnetic pad on the cable is installed closer to the edge. Each of the 3 connectors has 2 pairs of similar ones. The cable is connected to the one at the bottom - this eliminates the wrong pinout. You can flip the wire over either side - no difference.

With the used cable, the smartphone can be charged and connected to a computer for transferring data by either side to the connector: turn the wire over as you like.

Short successful test

Testing has shown that the maximum bandwidth of the cable is suitable for fast charging of any device: up to 12 V, 2 A. Apple fast charging (tested on iPad), Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 / 3.0, Mediatek Pump Express works.

When charging with maximum parameters, there are no failures and heating. The test is successful for all devices - you can use it.

All devices recognize the wire and work normally. Certain problems can arise with Lightning, since only 5 pins are used: although in testing the iPhone 7 Plus perceived a wire, Apple's protective mechanisms can set the heat.

All other algorithms behave as if they were native. Now my Android is hanging on it - all the time when I'm at the table (about 8 hours a day with breaks). Works like a clock.

Serious drawbacks are that all connectors stick out decently (by 2.5 millimeters) when installed in a smartphone. In a case it is almost imperceptible, but without it at first it becomes very unusual.

And if not for one important point, you could just write a review about a good wire for a penny. The case helped to clarify one bug that applies to all magnetic wires.

How not to kill a smartphone with a magnetic cable

The smartphone is heavy enough for the wire to drag it along. Therefore, if the lace adheres to something, at the moment of magnetization of the pad, the contacts sometimes do not press well - a small inconspicuous gap remains.

With poor contact and high charging currents, the connector begins to heat up, which can lead to a fire.

The problem is treated very simply - it is enough to release a little more wire than necessary. Then, at the moment of docking, he himself will fall into place. Or put the smartphone along the cable laying line, swiping the smartphone along it a little immediately after docking.

The heating temperature does not exceed the temperature of a hot smartphone. But still, this is a rather unpleasant moment that is worth remembering. Is it worth it to abandon the "magnetic wires" because of this?
The price is the same.

The WSKEN X-cable mini 2 magnetic cable for USB Type-C devices will revolutionize the way you charge your phone. Now you can forget about connection problems due to a loose connector. At home, away, at work or in the car - anywhere you will appreciate the simplicity and convenience of using this accessory. All that is required is simply to bring the cord to the magnetic adapter and charging is started. WSKEN was one of the first to launch this innovative product on the market. Advantages of WSKEN X-cable mini 2 USB to USB Type-C magnetic cable

Simplicity and ease of use

The reduced size of the adapter makes the cable compatible with almost any case. The connector is attached once and is held very tightly in the connector. In the future, you just need to magnetize the wire. There is no need to pull out the adapter every time, thereby wearing out the connector. If such a need arises, then a special puller is included in the kit.

Efficiency

Gold plated contacts reduce resistance and do not oxidize, which has a positive effect on signal transmission.

Compatibility

This cable will fit any device with a USB Type-C connector. In addition, it is compatible with all mini 2 connectors. There is no need to buy a new cable for devices with a different connector, you just need to purchase a connector and use it with the existing cable.

Reliability and durability

Nylon braided cord, protective shielding layer, efficient heat dissipation ensure the durability of the cable, guarantee fast and safe charging of the smartphone.

Protection against small debris and dust

The cable adapter also acts as a kind of plug and protects the connector from small debris, dust and water.

Multifunctionality

With this cable, you can not only charge your smartphone, but also transfer data from your phone to another device.

Hello everyone. Cables with a magnetic adapter retainer are not new, there are a lot of reviews on analogs, but I was tormented by one question - how will it behave when using a power supply with support for fast charging, because many devices with TYPE-C use certain technologies (in my case, this PumpExpress 3.0). Looking ahead - he did it.

But let's start over. I got a cable in such a nondescript bag
And from the back side

Length - 1 meter, additionally wrapped in nylon braid, lace diameter - 4mm if not pressed.

The assembly is of high quality, there are no cracks or sagging of plastic, it looks reliable.

The base is two-pin, the center pin is spring-loaded. Includes backlight and neodymium magnet.

The adapter also has a magnet positioned with the opposite pole to the cable. Thanks to this, it always sticks to it with the right side and holds on better.

The height of the adapter base is 2.5 mm, in my case about 1 mm protrudes above the cover. Many people complain that they constantly rub their little finger against the protruding contact during a conversation. I don't know, I never touch the bottom part, maybe because of the size of the phone, or maybe I'm used to it, but oh well.

Base diameter - 8mm.

There are small bevels on the sides for easier removal from the phone connector.

The magnets are good, they easily support the weight of the phone (175 grams), they fell off even after a shake.

Built-in magnetic base illumination.

Not very bright, but in the dark it is quite possible to find the phone and understand from which side to bring the lace.

The back of the base is made of matte plastic and it is slightly illuminated by the same backlight, the intensity is much lower, so it does not strike the eye or irritate much. Static, does not change in the degree of current drop.

And the most important thing is practice.

I have no way to check the maximum current at 5 Volts, because there are no additional adapters, so I collected data only for PumpExpress 3.0.

First, let's look at the indicators when connecting a native cable
To be honest, I thought even if the cable gave out 9 Volts, then the backlight would definitely not survive this, and there it might stop working altogether, but no, the backlight intensity remained the same - apparently the engineers took into account the likelihood that the user might wail into the block with fast charging technology. No current drop was detected, perhaps the unit also adjusts the values to the required ones, but the cord looks impressive, and only the power line is used, data - there is no line.

In addition, I edited a small video:

Such is the case, the cable performs its functions, it supports fast charging. The magnetic adapter does not give me any discomfort; after three days of use, the contacts did not clog / oxidize with debris.
The obvious disadvantage is the lack of data transfer capability.
I bought before the start of the promo action - I dropped the price to 280 rubles, so if there are points, it is better to wait until it ends =)

It is enough to insert the adapters into the connector of your smartphone once and forget about the need to connect to them charging device physically damaging the connector.

How it works?

Type-C is becoming an increasingly popular connector, with an ELOUGH cable, it is enough to change the adapter itself or buy another one for a new device without changing the wire. Charge multiple devices one at a time. Your plug won't wear out or clog up, and plugging in your power will be easier than ever.

Peculiarities

  • The connector always stays in the phone, which prevents dust and dirt from entering, as well as wear on the charging connector. The connector is practically invisible and does not interfere with the use of the phone.
  • If you accidentally touch the cable (which happens quite often), then it will not pull the phone along with it, but simply disconnect from the connector.
  • The innovative system of two rows of magnetic contact points and a magnetic base will make connection quick and convenient.
  • No need to constantly look at which side to insert the cable. The magnetic cable connects to the connector either side.
