Using google disk

The last considered way to translate from pdf to word would be google service disk. To use it, you must have a registered account.

To make changes to a ready-made PDF document, you do not need to purchase an expensive software Adobe Acrobat. Editing files of this type is also possible in Word 2013. Below we will show you how to do this.

While previous versions Microsoft Word only allowed saving documents in PDF format, Word 2013 allows you to open and modify their content without the need for external software. Microsoft has named this feature PDF Reflow. Below we will consider its operation on the example of a PDF document containing text and illustrations.

PDFs to Word - opening files

When you start Word 2013, select the File | Open. In the new dialog box, navigate to the folder that contains the PDF document you want. Select the required file and click the Open button. A thumbnail of the document appears on the right. After you confirm with the Open button, the following window will appear on the screen. A message will warn you that the document is being loaded. big size may take a long time, and the document in Word may look different from the original saved in PDF format. This is because of differences in the way you write elements such as fields, columns, tables, page breaks, endnotes, frames, comments, revision history, and specified formatting options (such as font effects) between individual programs. The editor must transform the contents of the file, and this operation takes quite a long time.

A message warns that the conversion may take a long time and the results may differ from the original.

Microsoft says that converting and adapting text-only documents provides the best results. Documents containing a large number of diagrams, graphic elements, tags, bookmarks, footnotes and corrections are worse. In many cases additional blocks text falls into the thick of other paragraphs or to the end of the document. Be aware of the limited conversions and keep in mind that you may need to make some fixes.

However, many of the document layout attributes are compatible and can be migrated from PDF to Word without issue. In the figure, we provide a copy of the original PDF file opened in Word.

PDF documents to Word - editing files

When you open a PDF document, you can easily insert new paragraphs, change the content of the document, and delete unwanted sections. The editor will format the document on its own when you make changes. In addition, you can delete and replace pictures inserted into the document, as well as change their position. The text alignment feature will automatically reposition the paragraph, surrounding the illustration with text. If necessary, you can change attributes such as page size, width and height of margins, line spacing, font type and size, font style (oblique, in bold, underscore, etc.) and many others.

In a modified version of our sample document, the font and font size have been changed for the heading, subheading, and the first and last paragraphs. In addition, a paragraph on a yellow background was inserted and the image moved from the upper right to the lower left corner of the page. The editor performed the actions without errors.

Word 2013 provides very good PDF support. After right-clicking on the picture, the user has at his disposal an extensive menu with graphics editing functions. Commands available include cropping, resizing (scaling), formatting, moving, and placing hyperlinks.

By providing a huge set of features, Word 2013 can act as a DTP application - of course, to a limited extent. The document prepared with its help in PDF format, the user can send directly to the printing house. The advantage of PDF files is their relatively small size. Thus, documents of this type are suitable for sending via e-mail... The format is supported on many hardware platforms, so it can be easily portable and printed. All elements required to create a finished product are combined in one file.

PDF to Word documents - saving and converting files

After you have finished editing the document, select the File | Save As, select a destination folder and select PDF (* .pdf) from the Save as type list. If you plan to host the PDF online, select the Minimum Size (Online Publishing) option. If the document is to be printed, leave the default option (Web Publish and Print). Click the Options button to select pages to publish or create a password for your document. When you have made all the settings, confirm your choice with the Save button.

In the save window, you can choose to optimize the document for printing or publishing on the Internet

Alternatively, you can export the finished document. To do this, select the File | Export. Then click the Create PDF / XPS button under the Create heading PDF document/ XPS. Select the destination folder and configure the save as we described above.

PDF documents in Word - remove errors

If it turns out that the PDF file saved in Word contains any errors or does not meet your expectations, you need to undo the last changes and reformat the pages. The editor will automatically improve the position of the text. However, graphical elements earlier in the flow of text can overlap it. Then you need to divide the paragraphs so that the original text is in front of the illustration, and the rest starts right behind it. When you are able to do this, you can pin the picture frame to the desired place on the page.

Right-click the picture and select Text Wrap | Additional system parameters. The System window will appear on the screen. Go to the Position tab. If the text in the PDF document will be placed incorrectly again, it is worth setting the relative position horizontally and vertically. Then the picture will change position along with the text. However, if you want to stay in the same place regardless of the text placement, choose an absolute position (horizontal and vertical). It is not at all necessary to indicate the location of the illustrations. Just move the picture to the desired location, and the new coordinates will appear in a frame directly above it. Confirm with OK.

When you have made all the corrections, repeat the steps above to export the document or save it as a PDF file.

The LibreOffice office suite also offers the ability to edit PDF files, although compared to Word from Microsoft Office its capabilities are rather modest. The free alternative does not detect the position of the text, but allows you to edit individual lines. You can change the font attributes, move and scale the illustrations. Documents in PDF format, open like all others through the menu File | Open, and you can save it by pointing to the menu File | Export to PDF. If you are working with a file in OpenDocument format and you want to transfer it to someone in PDF format before saving, check the Embed OpenDocument file checkbox. Then the recipient will have a convenient overview for the file PDF browser and can also make corrections or continue creating the document directly in LibreOffice.
