Wireless headphones for smartphone lg. How to connect wireless Bluetooth headphones to TV. The best LG wireless headphones

None of the music lovers will call LG a manufacturer of professional audio equipment. But this does not mean that all LG headphones sound lousy. On the contrary, some of them produce quite decent sound. Moreover, these headphones often have a low price tag. Let's get acquainted with the best models that are available on the Russian market. This will make your choice much easier if you are a fan of the South Korean brand.

The best LG wireless headphones

LG Force (HBS-S80) - original plugs

Now LG Electronics is trying to develop its mobile business. She does this, including through the release of high-quality Bluetooth headsets. LG Force belongs to the plug-in (intra-channel) type. These headphones may seem oversized. But on the other hand, they are light - so they are held in the ears very reliably. It also has water resistance and aptX support. In a word, they sound good and work in the rain.

Advantages:

  • Weight does not exceed 27.5 g, which is quite tolerable;
  • Water protection has been introduced - the headphones are not afraid of sweat and rain;
  • There is a fastening on the ear, which saves during sports;
  • There is support for the aptX profile, thanks to which the sound is transmitted without compression;
  • The neck lace practically does not interfere;
  • Comes with a carrying case for easy transport.
  • The headphones are equipped with a microphone.

Flaws:

  • To some, these earplugs will seem bulky;

  • Low frequencies do not stand out very much.

LG TONE Infinim (HBS-910) - the hoop is not for everyone

Many people love in-ear headphones because they can be easily slipped into a pocket. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the LG TONE Infinim. In fact, these are all the same "plugs", but they are equipped with a special hoop that hangs around the neck. There is no folding mechanism here, so the product will definitely not fit in your pocket. But the headset provides a long time of work. Also, everything is in order with the sound quality - in this regard, the headphones surpass everything previously created by LG.

Advantages:

  • The modern Bluetooth 4.1 standard is used;
  • Built-in high-quality microphone;
  • Excellent sound quality;
  • Long battery life - up to 10.5 hours in music playback mode;
  • The headset is made of pleasant to the touch and reliable materials.

Flaws:

  • Very high cost - about 8,000 rubles are asked for headphones;
  • You can’t call a compact headset - it won’t fit in your pocket.

LG HBS-500 - simple and high-quality headphones

One of the very first headset models from LG, equipped with a neckband. There are no advanced technologies and or a unique appearance. Connection to a smartphone or tablet is via Bluetooth 4.1. We managed to reduce the weight of the device to 29 grams - at some moments the accessory is almost not felt around the neck! As expected, the headset allows you to adjust the volume and answer calls.

Advantages:

  • Automatic pairing supported;
  • There is a vibrating alert that does not allow you to miss a call;
  • You can control the volume and answer the call;
  • Uses Bluetooth 4.1 wireless technology;
  • Comfortable and lightweight design;
  • Fast Charging - This process takes about two hours.

Flaws:

  • Outdoor range leaves a lot to be desired;
  • The headset vibrates for some reason when the signal is lost;
  • Voice notification quickly becomes annoying.

The best wired LG headphones

LG Quadbeat Optimus G is a very inexpensive option

These headphones first rolled off the assembly line back in the days of the Optimus series of smartphones. Buyers immediately liked these "plugs" equipped with a microphone. Now the main advantage of this product is a very low price. For the minimum amount by modern standards, you will get great-sounding headphones. Included with them you will receive several interchangeable ear pads.

Advantages:

  • Very low price - now you can buy a headset for about 500 rubles;
  • Good soundproofing - even the noise of the subway does not interfere with the music;
  • Headphones are equipped with interchangeable ear pads;
  • The product can be thrown into a pocket - the headphones turned out to be light and small;
  • There is a tiny remote on the wire with a "Pause" button;
  • The wires in the pocket are almost not tangled.

Flaws:

  • The manufacturer does not supply the device with a case;
  • The built-in microphone is not of the highest quality.

10 Best Wireless Headphones

LG Quadbeat 2 - loud headphones with a familiar design

This accessory should please you with its volume and comparative clarity of sound. Of course, this is not a music lover's product, but you will definitely feel the bass, as well as there are no problems with the reproduction of high frequencies. The device has a flat cable that does not get tangled in your pocket. On it you can find a remote control with three keys. This greatly simplifies volume control and playback control. You can use these buttons to answer the call.

Advantages:

  • Headphones have a flat cable that is difficult to tangle into a knot;
  • There is a microphone that allows you to talk with the interlocutor;
  • There is a remote control with a large number of buttons that simplifies the use of the headset;
  • Includes interchangeable ear pads
  • The headphones turned out to be quite reliable - a rare buyer complains about a breakdown;
  • Very low impedance - it does not exceed 24 ohms.

For a long time I did not want to sit down to write this article, and not even because I was lazy, but simply the topic of connecting Bluetooth headphones to Smart TVs is very "dark". It all started with the fact that I bought myself Bluetooth headphones and connected them to my Philips TV, which runs on Android TV. Everything connected very easily and without problems. I thought, why not write detailed instructions for connecting wireless headphones to TVs. Moreover, many modern TVs have Bluetooth support.

But somehow I didn’t really want to write only about Philips TVs, I decided to make a general instruction and show how you can also connect Bluetooth headphones with LG, Samsung and Sony TVs. There, since I don’t have these TVs, and I can’t check everything from personal experience, I started looking for information on the Internet. And then it began. If Philips and Sony TVs that run on Android TV connect to wireless headphones without problems, then LG with webOS and Samsung Smart TVs have a complete mess there.

It is clear that the TV must have a built-in Bluetooth adapter. But you probably know that almost all TVs work only with original devices. (cameras, adapters, remotes, etc.). With headphones, it's about the same story. You can easily connect an original Bluetooth stereo headset to LG and Samsung TVs. But ordinary headphones are unlikely to connect. But it depends on the TV model, series, firmware version, year of production, and what the hell. The porridge is such that after studying this topic for several hours, my brain boiled.

It seems that in the new models of Samsung TVs you can already connect any Bluetooth headphones. There is also a service menu where you can try to enable support for this function. But again, it all depends on the series and model. LG has a similar story. And according to LG support, you can only connect original headphones. But again, not on all models.

To avoid confusion, I will divide this article into three sections. I'll tell you about each manufacturer separately. I'll show you how you can try to connect Bluetooth headphones in the TV settings.

In order not to waste time, I advise you to immediately make sure that your TV has built-in Bluetooth (if you have a Smart TV, then most likely you have). In some models, it must be connected with a separate branded adapter. You can see the characteristics of your model on the official website.

If your TV does not have Bluetooth, or it flatly refuses to see headphones, then you can use a special one that connects to the 3.5 mm output of the TV (it is also possible to connect via RCA (tulip), or optical audio output), and headphones are already connected to it. I will talk about such adapters in more detail at the end of the article. (or read the article about Bluetooth transmitters at the link above).

Bluetooth headphones + Philips and Sony TVs on Android TV

Because I have a Philips TV (Philips model 43PUS7150/12 on Android TV), and I successfully made friends with my JBL E45BT headphones, then first of all I will talk about this platform.

Important! I have no way to test the connection on my Sony TV. But, since Sony also uses Android TV as a Smart TV platform, I think that everything will work. I hope they did not make restrictions on connecting Bluetooth devices.

Go to the Android TV menu and select "Wired and wireless networks" at the very bottom.

The TV will display a message that you need to turn on the device and put it at a distance of up to 5 meters. Turn on your headphones and press the "Search" button. Headphones must be in pairing mode. The blue Bluetooth indicator should flash. If it does not blink, then most likely you need to press and hold the power button, or a separate button with the corresponding icon.

The TV should see our headphones. Select them and click Connect.

The sound from the TV began to sound through the headphones. You can control them in the TV settings. Item "Remove device". There you can disable or remove the wireless headset.

After I turn on the power of the headphones, the sound from the TV speakers immediately goes to them. When I turn off the headphones, the built-in speakers sound.

With these TVs sorted out. If you have something to add, or have questions - write in the comments.

Connecting Bluetooth Headphones to a Samsung TV

Let's move on to Samsung TVs, which have a complete mess in this topic. As I already wrote at the beginning of the article, it seems that new models of some certain series support the connection of Bluetooth headphones from any manufacturer. At least I saw the video where to the TV J series connected Beats headphones without any problems.

I don't know what Samsung TV you have, what firmware it has, Smart TV version, etc., but I advise you to try it. And suddenly everything will turn out and will work.

We connect: Open TV settings. Go to "Sound" - "Speaker settings". Turn on your Bluetooth headphones and place them near the TV. They must be in connected mode. The blue indicator should flash. Select "List of Bluetooth Headphones".

If you do not have the item "List of Bluetooth headphones", or it is inactive, then you can try to activate it in the service menu of the TV. More on this in the article below.

Menu appearance may vary slightly.

Select them and the devices will be paired. The sound from the Samsung TV will be transmitted via Bluetooth to the headphones. If you turn them off, the sound will come out through the speakers of the TV.

For K series TVs

In the settings you need to open the "Sound" section, then "Select speaker" and "Bluetooth audio".

Activation of the "List of Bluetooth headphones" section in the service menu

I will not paint the whole process, but simply add a video in which the author tells and shows everything in detail. There you can see the entire connection process.

If you managed to enable Bluetooth headphones on your Samsung TV using the service menu, then write about it in the comments to this article, and do not forget to say thanks to the author of this video.

Let me remind you that a lot depends on the series and model of your TV. If it does not work, then you can describe your case in the comments, or use the solution that I will discuss at the end of this article.

How to connect Bluetooth headphones to LG TV

Too bad I don't have an LG TV on webOS so I can check it out myself. There is not much information on the Internet on this topic. But as far as I understand, LG is still more difficult with connecting Bluetooth devices. Only original devices can be connected. That is, original LG headphones, soundbar, etc. You can do this in the settings, in the "Sound" section - "LG sound synchronization (wireless)".

And even if your TV model has built-in Bluetooth, it is used primarily to connect the remote control and other branded devices.

You can also try connecting your headset like this:

This is a guide from the official site. But as far as I understand, only branded headsets are connected this way.

Connecting Bluetooth Devices with the LG TV Plus App

There is an app for Android and iOS called LG TV plus. It is designed to control LG TVs that run on webOS.

It seems to be where this application is, right? But I found a video that shows how through LG TV Plus can connect almost any Bluetooth device to your LG TV. Including headphones and speaker. But I can’t say for sure, starting from which version of webOS there is such an opportunity. It looks like as of webOS 3.0.

How it works: install LG TV Plus on a smartphone or tablet. We go into the application and connect to our TV. In the application settings there is a section "Bluetooth Agent". Through this agent, you can connect wireless headphones to your LG TV.

Here's a video (about the function "Bluetooth Agent" from 3:48) :

If the TV is not Bluetooth or headphones not connecting: solution

There are such devices as Bluetooth transmitters. They can be used not only with TVs, but also with other devices. Their task is to take sound from the TV via cable (from 3.5mm output, RCA, or optical) and transfer via Bluetooth to any wireless headphones.

They look something like this:

This is a universal solution for almost any TV, even an old one. It is enough to connect the cable from the transmitter to the TV output under the headphones, and connect your headset to the transmitter. These adapters are usually powered by a built-in battery. USB cable for power/charging is included. If your TV has a USB port, you can connect the adapter to it.

conclusions

As it turned out, only TVs running on the Android TV system allow you to easily connect Bluetooth headsets and output sound to them. For such popular manufacturers as LG and Samsung, everything is very ambiguous in this regard. There are certain series and models on which the function of connecting Bluetooth headphones is implemented. And LG still can't let users choose the Bluetooth devices they want to connect to their TVs. And don't limit them to only branded accessories.

In any case, you can always buy an inexpensive transmitter and output sound wirelessly with it. Yes, these are additional costs and inconvenience in the form of another device, but if there is no other way, then the solution is not bad.

Write in the comments. Share useful information and ask questions. I will gladly answer everyone!

Bluetooth headphones have been raining down on me lately like a cornucopia. I test them, listen, I like each new headset more than the previous one. Now on my hands, or rather not on my neck, LG TONE Active + and, as it turned out, this is almost the best Bluetooth headset I've tried. Functionally, that's for sure!

Unboxing

Already on the box it becomes clear two things. Before us is not just anything, but a normal, high-quality product - this time. The packaging is solid, the cardboard is thick, the printing is of high quality - everything is as it should be.

Secondly, the headphones are designed for outdoor activities and sports. On the front side, a dark-skinned man with an inflated torso flaunts. It’s as if you unpack the headset, put it on yourself, and the figure of your dream is already a stone’s throw away.

In the LG TONE Active + kit, there were interchangeable ear pads and additional nozzles for a more secure fixation of the device on the neck - they are longer than usual. In addition, we put a Micro USB cable and documentation inside.

Design and convenience

Minimalism is not about LG TONE Active +. There is a whole bunch of all sorts of inserts, slots, buttons, stickers and other things. In general, we have a thing that is perfect for a sporty style of clothing.

However, the headset can also be worn under a business suit. Abroad, less and less is being steamed on this topic. However, such an accessory around the neck will definitely tell about its owner that he is a big fan of all kinds of electronic things, and he certainly does not get baptized when someone pays with a smartphone at the checkout in front of his eyes.

By convenience. I would not say that the headset is weightless and completely invisible on the neck. On the street, in the bustle of the day, the accessory, of course, ceases to be noticed. Several times I caught myself thinking: “Oh my God! Where is the headset? Ah, here she is! Right there, it's all right."

Sitting at home, in comfortable home clothes, the headset, of course, is constantly felt. And, if you follow the logic of the developers, the headphones are designed for this, to always hang around the neck, track the physical activity of the owner, but we'll talk about this a little later.

The design here is single, the bow is part of the entire headset. It is soft, pliable, bends well. You can throw headphones around your neck with one hand, if the other is suddenly busy.

I really liked the idea of the retractable drivers. He grabbed the speaker and pulled it out to the desired length (maximum - about 20 cm), put it in your ear and rejoice. The earpiece is also easy to remove - I took it in my hand, slightly pulled it forward and let it go. Due to the special coil inside, the wiring is immediately twisted. The design is similar to that used in vacuum cleaners for a network cable - you must have come across.

The wires on which the drivers are attached are very thin. This is good because they are almost invisible, and in no way are felt next to the face. The question of reliability remains open. It is necessary to test a year, perhaps more, to understand how long such a design will last.

Almost around the entire perimeter of the headset there is a whole bunch of all sorts of buttons. There are eight of them in total, and some additional functionality was added to some of them: I pressed it once, one thing happened, I held the button, another thing happened.

To be honest, it took me a long time to get used to the controls. After even a month, I use far from all the keys and not all the functionality. I don’t need it, and banal laziness takes over. However, I suspect that if you learn all the commands properly, you can feel like the captain of the Enterprise - you control everything that is possible and everything is at your fingertips.

Functional

Of course, LG TONE Active + plays music, because these are Bluetooth headphones first of all. However, just like the phone function in modern smartphones, sound reproduction through earplugs is far from everything.

There are two speakers on the front side of the case. These are the most common external speakers, loud enough for their size. In terms of quality and volume, they are similar to the speakers that are installed in smartphones.

Why are they needed here? Let's fantasize.

First of all, LG TONE Active+ can be used in the car as a HandsFree device. Someone is calling you, you have pressed the call acceptance button and you are talking, as if through an external smartphone speaker. At the same time, the latter can be lying around somewhere - in a backpack in the back seat, for example.

Secondly, you can just as well listen to music through an external speaker when you ride a bike. After all, riding in headphones is suicide, and so you hear the street, and your music chirps right under your nose. Plus, you don’t need to put a wireless speaker on the “led” frame.

Third scenario. You can download the press with headphones on, or you can take them off, hang them on a stud and turn on external speakers. Thus, you please with music not only yourself, but also the rest of the guys from the audience.

In addition, TONE Active + can track physical activity: steps, distance, calories and stuff like that. Nothing extraordinary.

Unfortunately, the headset considers it very strange - not exactly and not always at all.

In general, if you need an electronic assistant to record your activity, then it is better to take some kind of fitness tracker on hand. That's where he belongs.

But what is really useful is IPx4 moisture protection. With headphones, you can easily get caught in a downpour on the street and nothing will happen to them. For outdoor activities, sports - this is really important. The most important thing to remember is that the gadget cannot be immersed in water.

The headset has a built-in vibration motor that informs you about the inclusion, successful connection to the smartphone and other events. It must be admitted that the vibration here is very powerful. It's impossible to miss it. Furthermore! She's even nice. I would not refuse additional functionality, in the form of a vibration massager.

The headset voices most of the processes in a female voice. True, in English. However, the school level is enough to understand what this smart smart girl is talking about: “battery midi”, “connected” and so on.

The rest of the functions are listed below:

  • using the buttons you can call subscribers from the call log
  • SMS voice-over (only in Korean or English)
  • recording audio notes (stored in their own application, the quality is so-so)

Connection

Passes very quickly and without problems. One has only to move the power lever, as the smartphone picks up in 2-3 seconds. I clicked on Play and playback immediately began, despite the fact that the player was not running. No NFC, but figs with him. With such a smart connection, it is not needed.

To turn on activity tracking, you need to hold down two track scrolling buttons at the same time. The Tone & Talk app will immediately notice this and start capturing all the data. However, I repeat, the headset considers the steps very bad. I wouldn't trust her.

Sound quality

I recently tested it - this model sounded a little better, however, the gadget from LG did not hit the face in the dirt.

The sound quality is good, worthy of hearing by 95% of users.

I don't think true audiophiles would be suited to this model. On the other hand, they themselves know that they haven’t come up with anything better yet.

A unique case - the headset supports the Qualcomm aptX HD codec, which is used specifically for wireless audio transmission.

However, there is one caveat - you need a smartphone that supports this at the "iron" level. It so happened that there are few such devices. This and . The recently released one also boasts this feature. In addition to them, another model from Vertu and an unknown device Luna (TG-L900S) were lit up.

Here's what I'll say about it. I tried, listened to the sound with this aptX HD and ... did not understand anything. No, it sounded great. However, how it differs from aptX without the very “HD” was definitely not clear to me, or rather, not heard. On the other hand, I never consider myself to be anointed by God, those who hear the shades and richness of the nuances of the sound stage, and therefore there is nothing to talk about.

Specifications of LG TONE Active+ (Model HBS-A100)

  • Bluetooth 4.2 (A2DP, AVRCP profiles)
  • built-in batteries of 120 mAh each
  • dual MEMS microphone
  • Advanced Quad Layer drivers
  • moisture protection according to IPx4 standard
  • support for aptX HD audio codec
  • dimensions: 144.8 x 147.2 x 17.6 mm
  • weight 60.5 g
  • available colors: black only

There is no other information. Why the manufacturer hides such important data for headphones as the frequency range, signal-to-noise ratio, and so on - I absolutely do not understand.

Battery life

In this plan headset LG TONE Active+ didn't like it. No, she has excellent autonomy, but for me personally, this was the problem. I listened to music almost every day for about 30-40 minutes, tried to plant her for more than two weeks, and she had this "battery midi" all the time.

As a result, I missed at what point it had a low charge level and the headset turned off at one fine moment. This means exactly two things. It has an average charge level of 80 percent of the time, so be careful with this. If you feel that you haven’t charged your headphones for a long time, you should do it as soon as possible.

Autonomy is still good.

Just in case, here is the official data from the manufacturer:

  • talk time - 13 hours (through speakers - 9.5 hours)
  • maximum music playback - 12 hours (through speakers - 6 hours)
  • waiting time - 430 hours

Outcome

LG TONE Active+ is designed primarily for athletes (runners, cyclists, and so on). It is both ergonomic and sweat / moisture resistant.

The second category of users who may like it are city dwellers who can afford an informal style of clothing. Casual is fine too. For the life of me, I can't imagine a guy in a business suit or a shirt with those headphones on. In addition, they do not fit under the collar also because they simply become uncomfortable. Checked on myself.

What's the rest? The sound quality is good, the connection is problem-free, the convenience is on top. There is a little confusion with the buttons (there are simply too many of them), but you get used to it, and after that it becomes incomprehensible how it could be otherwise. Still, if the price was less than a thousand by two, it would be generally wonderful. Actual price LG TONE Active+ at the moment is 8,990 rubles.

Already on sale Price: 8 990 rubles Our cozy Telegram I express my gratitude to LG Electronics for the provided gadget for the test

Comparing LG wireless headphones, we examined the 3 most popular models - they are presented in the same price range, but each has certain distinctive features. A detailed overview of functions and features will help you make the right choice when buying.

Featured Models:

LG Tone+ HBS-500

In appearance, the device resembles the HBS-730 model, but the design of the “collar” has undergone certain changes. The durable frame is easily bent in different directions, which ensures a long service life. The device looks very stylish, but with prolonged use, certain elements of the headset turn yellow, which spoils the appearance of the product.

Natural voice transmission in any environment. But the sound is not voluminous enough, as if lifeless - bass is lost, and high frequencies sound too harsh. These are comfortable LG wireless headphones for communication, but not for listening to music tracks, due to the lack of aptX.

Pros:

  1. The control system has been improved - grooved buttons are convenient for blind control. Tracks are switched using the volume buttons, and the call key has become multifunctional. Initially, this is not very convenient, but with a little practice you can easily learn how to control the headset;
  2. Increased battery life. Enjoy your favorite songs for 8 hours (at medium volume), talk time - 9.5 hours;
  3. Convenient form. Reliable lightweight design, easy to fix, does not cause inconvenience.

Minuses:

  1. Weak magnetic hold. The plastic surface of the grooves made it possible to reduce the cost of the product, but this happened at the expense of the comfort of use;
  2. Increased size. A controversial drawback, since it can also be considered as an advantage - it all depends solely on personal preferences;
  3. Lack of additional features and noise reduction. This is largely justified by the low cost of the product, but on the other hand, this model loses to most of the more advanced analogues presented at a similar price.

LG Tone Ultra

Tone Ultra (HBS-810) are LG's comfortable and functional wireless headphones. At first glance, the wires look rather flimsy, but in fact they are durable and designed for continuous use. The "collar" is conveniently put on the neck, it is well fixed and does not hang out, it can be worn on the collar.

Excellent sound quality, thanks to the presence of the AptX codec, which becomes a significant plus in the LG Tone + comparison. Excellent sound, well transmits both low and high frequencies, allows you to fully enjoy your favorite compositions. Another plus in favor of the HBS-810 is a good microphone. This model is a universal choice for both communication and listening to music.

Pros:

  1. Battery - designed for continuous operation, about 12 hours of listening to music at medium volume. In talk mode, the headset works for several days;
  2. Automatic wire winding. A feature that makes the use of the HBS-810 headphones even more convenient - just a slight movement of the hand is enough to fix the cable in the desired position;
  3. Pairing with multiple devices. The connection process takes only a few seconds - excellent wireless headphones for LG Smart TV;
  4. Ease of controls. It takes a minimum of time to master the system, everything is quite simple and intuitive.

Minuses:

  1. Lack of moisture protection. This model will not be the best choice for active training, as even a small amount of sweat can damage it;
  2. Insufficient wire length. According to the reviews of the owners, 22 cm is enough back to back - this is a clear flaw in the creators;
  3. Passive noise cancellation. The ear cushions with additional silicone control do not cope with this task, which somewhat spoils the sound.

LG Tone Infinim

The LG Tone Infinim Wireless Headphones feature good build quality and an eye-catching original design. Lightweight plastic headset is easy to use, the size is suitable for owners of a not too massive neck. It is highly recommended to wear the “collar” only on clothes - the area under it sweats a lot, which causes certain inconvenience and destroys the soft-touch coating.

The HBS-900 is not suitable for those who prefer an active lifestyle. Dust, sand, sweat - all this can very quickly disable the device. During an active workout, the headphones bounce, which makes it difficult to concentrate on the lesson.

LG Tone Infinim is also suitable as the main headset used for communication. But it is important to remember that during a conversation you will have to turn your head to a single microphone - the echo and background noise blocking function does not fully cope with the task.

When talking in transport, you will have to raise your voice so that the interlocutor can hear something.

Pros:

  1. The HBS-900 is the best choice for long trips, leisurely walks and sedentary work, providing excellent sound;
  2. Support for the aptX codec, thanks to which any audio compositions sound flawless. A great alternative even to wired devices;
  3. Long battery life. The headphones fully comply with the characteristics declared by the manufacturer, and work for about 3 days in the mode of frequent conversations and listening to music at medium volume (3-4 hours a day);
  4. Voice control. It becomes a significant plus, greatly simplifying the process of operating the device.

Minuses:

  1. The fragility of the headset. Care must be taken when putting on the headset, and thin wires require maximum caution in use;
  2. Minimum equipment. Only a few attachments - no case, no additional inserts.

Conclusion

If you are planning to buy LG wireless headphones, then you should initially decide for what purpose you need the device. If this is communication, then it is worth considering the LG Tone + HBS-500 model, for comfortable listening to music in quiet mode - LG Tone Infinim. The universal solution will be LG Tone Ultra, combining functionality and excellent sound.

Wireless headset next LGTONE+ HBS-500 , which with all its appearance demonstrates the seriousness of the intentions of the Korean industrial giant to take first place in the mobile accessories market. Delivery and equipment

Wireless headset LG TONE + HBS-500 comes in a relatively large and rather informative box, which is made of solid medium-density cardboard. In addition to several high-quality images, company logos and pictograms, here you can find detailed information about all the technical and functional capabilities of the purchased accessory.

Inside the box is a clear plastic container. Due to its characteristic shape and convenient groove system, it securely holds the headset during transportation.

The LG TONE+ HBS-500 delivery set contains all the necessary list of elements for a quick and comfortable start. It includes: USB cable, 3 pairs of replacement ear pads, paper user manual, warranty card and WEEE card, which shows LG's commitment to the recycling of hazardous waste in the electronics industry.

Appearance, design features

In terms of design and functionality, the reviewed headset is a slightly simplified version of the more expensive and technically advanced model LG TONE + HBS-730, which became the ancestor of the series. However, having inherited a stylish appearance, the novelty has also acquired a number of interesting features.

The base of the LG TONE + HBS-500 case is made of black matte plastic, which is successfully diluted with silver inserts. This material is of high quality and has pleasant tactile properties. In addition, this classic color scheme harmonizes well with any style of clothing, including business, when the main headphone module is placed under the shirt collar. But when talking or listening to music, the wires will peek out a little due to the peculiarities of attaching them to the case, which, however, does not create much discomfort.

The headset itself has compact dimensions (168 x 140 x 18.1 mm) and modest weight (29 g), which only accompanies its trouble-free use throughout the day, without noticeable fatigue and other inconveniences. Its design is a small rubber rim with a diameter of 4 mm, in which there is a wire connecting two functional blocks located at the edges. They resemble highly elongated droplets with a maximum diameter of 18.1 mm, on which there is a cut edge for placing controls.

So, on the left module there is a multifunctional button for ending a call and starting voice control. Pressing it twice starts playing music tracks (Start/Pause), and holding it starts the pairing mode with an external device or turns the headset on/off.

There is also a small opening for a spoken microphone, and a little to the side there is an LED activity indicator and a micro-USB connector for charging the battery. The latter is closed with a dense rubber plug that prevents moisture from entering.

The right module has two volume buttons, which, when double-clicked, are able to switch the selected songs on the paired device, as well as, if necessary, enable / disable the built-in vibrating alert.

In general, such a constructive solution with division into two functional blocks allows achieving good weight distribution, because the drop-shaped modules act as weights and do not allow the headset to fly off the neck even with fairly active actions.

As for the headphones themselves, in this wireless accessory they use a vacuum driver form and are equipped with three pairs of interchangeable ear cushions (small, medium and large). This allows you to choose the perfect option for almost any user.

For the convenience of using the headset in the stowed position, there are special grooves on the sidewalls of the functional blocks, in which sufficiently strong magnets are inserted. They securely fix the headphones inside the mount and prevent them from chaotic hanging while walking.

In addition, on the back of the handle, between the working modules, there are two clips that press the wires (24 cm each) quite tightly to the base, adjusting their length and preventing them from getting tangled.

The build quality of LG TONE + HBS-500 deserves only positive reviews. All structural elements fit very tightly: there are no noticeable backlashes or gaps. The overall rigidity of the structure is also on top. The rubber shackle is flexible and doesn't cause a feeling of fear even with increased pressure or more active mode of use.

Softwaresecurity

A useful addition to the LG TONE + HBS-500 functionality is proprietary software that allows you to fully unlock the potential of the accessory under review. It has a pleasant and intuitive interface, and also contains a number of very interesting and quite useful features. In particular, with its help, the user can simultaneously connect two paired devices to the headset at once, control the playback mode of music tracks, set the volume level in one click, and also set up receiving not only text, but also voice notifications from the most popular social networks. To do this, you need to install the proprietary Tone & Talk utility and download the sound support package. Unfortunately, the Russian language is not included in this list, which may become some limitation for the residents of our region.

Sound quality

Direct testing of the sound accompaniment of the reviewed headset was carried out using a smartphone. All the necessary software was installed on it, and the pairing procedure was repeatedly carried out.

Despite the lack of official information about the size of sound drivers, their shape, volume and workmanship left more than pleasant impressions. Due to the simple, but at the same time well-adjusted ergonomics, they are in excellent contact with the auricle and provide a clear, deep and highly detailed sound throughout the available range (there are high, medium and well-defined low frequencies). And thanks to the built-in equalizer with a preset set of settings, the user will be able to quickly switch between musical styles (while holding the volume buttons), without experiencing discomfort when listening to a variety of songs.

The headphone volume reserve is enough for any conditions of use, including for a very noisy environment of urban transport. For example, by setting the volume level on the headset to the maximum value, it is quite enough to fix this parameter on the phone at around 30-35% (5-6 divisions out of 15) in order to comfortably listen to music and at the same time not fall out of the environment. At the same time, at 60% and above (9-10 bars), external noise completely disappears from the audio range, which allows you to concentrate on listening to your favorite song or audio podcast.

The use of LG TONE+ HBS-500 as a standard telephone headset also did not cause any complaints. Both from the side of the user and from the side of the interlocutor, the voice transmission was at a high level and was distinguished by a pleasant and well-distinguished sound. Interference, extraneous noise or interruptions were not observed, which indicates the high quality of the built-in microphone and the good performance of the noise reduction system. However, do not forget that this indicator primarily depends on the condition of the interlocutor's phone and the quality of mobile communications.

Testing for range and battery life

A rather unusual and in many ways unique design solution in the development of the headset made it possible to equip the LG TONE + HBS-500 with an excellent wireless module and a good battery.

For all the time of testing, we did not record even the slightest hint of possible problems with connection or communication stability. Despite the abundance of electromagnetic interference in a modern living space and the presence of natural barriers (doors, walls, ceilings), the headset almost instantly connected to an external device and maintained a high signal level. In the direct line of sight of the paired smartphone, it easily withstood more than 15 m of the declared distance, while in the presence of a small obstacle (window frame or plasterboard partition), the above figure was reduced to only 10 m. Even such a significant obstacle as two load-bearing walls could not affect communication quality, but only reduced the wireless communication distance to 5 m.

As for the built-in battery, it uses a non-removable 125 mAh lithium polymer battery, which provides a decent level of autonomy. With it, the LG TONE+ HBS-500 wireless headset can work up to 9 hours of talk time, up to 7.5 hours of music listening and up to 500 hours of standby time. And in order to fully charge the uninterruptible power supply, you need to spend a little less than 2 hours of free time by connecting the gadget to the USB port of a stationary device.

Results

Without the slightest exaggeration, a wireless headset LGTONE+ HBS-500 is a very interesting and one of a kind unique mobile accessory. Thanks to the successful development of innovative ideas and many years of experience in the development of high-tech gadgets, a truly sought-after product has been created, which is able to win many loyal fans around the world.

It was Korean engineers from LG who first developed and put into practice the idea with a separate functional unit. Its introduction made it possible to equip the headset with a reliable wireless communication module and a sufficiently capacious battery, as well as increase the overall level of comfort.

In addition, due to the use of high-quality materials and high build quality, it is pleasant to use the reviewed accessory throughout the day without experiencing fatigue and other discomfort.

And, of course, do not forget about the availability of proprietary software for the most popular platforms, which has a number of useful features. By installing it, the user will be able to simultaneously use two paired devices at once, as well as receive important notifications in time in text and voice format.

Based on the above advantages, we can safely recommend the LG TONE + HBS-500 wireless headset for purchase to all lovers of outstanding design ideas and high-quality sound.
