There is another useful feature here - call waiting, but I refused it, because if you try to talk to everyone at once when you receive a second call, you won’t be able to really talk to anyone. It is better in this case to give the person a busy signal so that he does not think that I am ignoring him and not picking up the phone.

So... since each time you have to climb the Velcom website for a long time and hard to enable the specified redirects, I decided for myself (or maybe it will come in handy for someone else?) To make a cheat sheet on these settings.

Information about missed calls

If the subscriber's phone was temporarily disconnected or was outside the VELCOM network coverage area, then after registering in the network, he will receive an SMS indicating the phone numbers from which he received calls at that time (for the last 24 hours).

Setting up my Nokia 5500:

  1. Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Call Forwarding -> Voice Calls -> Out of service area (and not as it is written on Velik's website)-> To another number -> +375296000240
  2. Do not touch any other types of redirection! If forwarding to the number specified in clause 1 is done for the “busy” situation, the subscriber will hear not short beeps, but a message about unavailability. The SMS notification does not arrive.

Operators cellular communication in Belarus they take care of their subscribers and provide them with many necessary and useful services, one of which is the “Voice box” on Velcom numbers. After connecting it, the company's client may not worry that he will miss any important calls, even if the phone turns off, or there is simply no way to pick up the handset in this moment. If the subscriber used the option for some time, and then wanted to turn off Voice Mail on Velcom, this is his choice and right. The information on how to disable Velcom's "Voice Box" presented in this material is for such customers of the company.

The function called "Voice mail" is available to subscribers using any Velcom tariff offers. You can use it for free if the standard option is implied, that is, when the client has not connected the Plus package.

The service works according to the following principle: redirection to the Velcom service phone is set on the subscriber number. The user can choose the type of redirection himself: the SIM card is not registered, the subscriber does not answer, it is busy. In order for the call to be forwarded when all the prerequisites are met, you can set the general type.

Why disable

Sometimes even a Velcom client who uses Voice Mail all the time has to turn off this service. For example, while staying within your region, a person is not charged for call forwarding. However, if he is in roaming, and if he has conditional forwarding enabled, you will have to pay double the cost - for both incoming and outgoing calls. This means that when a Velcom subscriber plans to go abroad for some time, it is better for him to turn off Voice Mail.

How to opt out of "Voicemail"

In order to disable the option (it doesn't matter if it is disabled temporarily or permanently), you need to cancel all forwarding on your phone. Instructions on how to disable "Voicemail" on Velcom:

  1. A user with access to the Velcom subscriber information system can change the list of connected functions and disable what is no longer required.
  2. Send the combination *441*1# from your mobile. If the operation is successful, the operator will disable the feature and send an appropriate alert.
  3. In the voice communication settings, which are located in the general settings of the device, it is also possible to disable and cancel the use of "Voicemail".

Connecting the service and listening to messages

If the mail was disabled for some time, and then the subscriber decided to reactivate it, you need to access the Welcom option menu by sending the same USSD combination *441*1. After that, it remains to set call forwarding to the Velcom service number +375296000210 according to the conditions described above.

Important! Also, the owner of the phone can leave a greeting or an address to callers no longer than a minute in Voice Mail. You can do two, but the duration remains the same: for example, one will go forty seconds, and the second - twenty.

How to listen to messages

Messages are listened to in one of two ways:

  1. Make a call to the service number.
  2. Call the public access number - +375296000201, and then specify unique code with "#" for authorization information and phone number.

The described services are also available to those who are in roaming.

As soon as the message is heard, Velcom client can:

  • save it by pressing button 3;
  • remove by pressing button 5.

Mail messages are deleted only after the completion of work with "Voice Mail". Because of this, the subscriber has the opportunity to get acquainted with them again, go to the optional menu.

Managing "Voice mail" on Velcom is quite simple: you can connect and disconnect it remotely, and you do not need to submit any applications to the company's office. If you do not want to use this function in principle, you can refuse it immediately after purchasing and installing a SIM card in your mobile device.
