Microsoft lumia 640 3g dual sim description

Smartphone entry level based on "Windows 8.1" with very good technical specifications - this is Lumia 640. Its capabilities, as well as all the nuances associated with the operation, will be discussed in detail in this review. There will also be a list of the pros and cons of this device, based on which recommendations will be given regarding its purchase.

Smartphone positioning

Technical parameters do not allow us to refer even to the middle segment of mobile devices Lumia 640. Reviews in this regard highlight CPU which is outdated both morally and physically. But at the same time, do not forget that the Windows operating system for mobile gadgets boasts a high degree of optimization. Therefore, in comparison with direct competitors in the face of "Android", it requires significantly less hardware resources to ensure its normal functioning. It is this plus that distinguishes the devices of this software platform against the background of direct competitors. Accordingly, this device is excellent. suitable for those who want an inexpensive entry-level device with modest technical specifications, but with an acceptable level of performance. This "smart" phone can boast of just such a combination. It should also be noted that this smartphone is based on the developments of NOKIA, which was recently acquired by Microsoft, whose logo is applied to the body of the gadget.

Device complete set

The package contents of this device are very, very scarce. The Microsoft Lumia 640 smartphone boasts the following list of accessories, documentation and components:

  • The smartphone itself with a removable battery installed in it.
  • Charger.
  • and multilingual operating manual.

Newly minted owners of this device will immediately have to additionally buy a protective film for the front panel, a case, a memory card, a stereo headset and an interface cable. Without these accessories, it will be simply impossible to reveal all the possibilities of this "smart" phone.

Appearance and ergonomics

The Lumia 640 is a familiar all-in-one with support for touch input... On its front panel there is a high-quality 5-inch display, the lower part of which is occupied by the familiar control panel of 3 standard buttons. Accordingly, individual touch buttons on this device no. Below there is only a black strip, on which there are no controls or communications. Above, above the screen, there is an earpiece, the manufacturer's logo, a hole for the front camera and a whole set of touch elements. On the left edge of the smartphone, the controls are well grouped: the button for locking the “smart” phone and the volume controls for the gadget. This allows even with such a large display diagonal as 5 inches, to operate it only with the fingers of one hand (in this case, the right). There are no important items on the opposite side of the device. Above is a port for connecting wired acoustics. Well, at the bottom there is a micro-USB port and a spoken microphone hole. The back cover houses the main camera with a single LED backlight. There is also a logo of the manufacturing company. There are four options for the design of the body of this device. In addition to the usual white and black, there is also orange and blue. Only the black version has a matte surface of the case, and all the others have a glossy finish. The front panel of the gadget is protected from possible damage by the "Gorilla Eye" and, of course, the third generation.

Central processing unit

A very modest model of the central processing unit is installed in the Lumia 640. This is the Snapdragon 400 chip, developed by the leading manufacturer of CPUs for mobile gadgets, Kualcom. It consists of 4 computing clusters, each of which is based on the energy-efficient Cortex A7 architecture. But at the same time, the required level of performance is achieved by increasing the computational modules. In this case, there are 4 of them, and this is quite enough for the normal operation of multi-threaded applications. The frequency of each core changes dynamically and can reach 1.2 GHz. This processor is manufactured using 28nm technology. For latest versions The "Android" capabilities of this semiconductor crystal are clearly not enough. But "Windows Background" is no longer so demanding on the hardware resources of a mobile device. Accordingly, all the software that is available for this software platform will run on such a gadget as the Lumia 640 smartphone without any problems.

Display and characteristics

Regular version this smartphone equipped with a 5-inch display. Its resolution is 1280x720, that is, the picture is displayed in 720p quality. The pixel density in this case is quite good by today's standards, 294ppi. The very same screen matrix is made using the "IPS" technology. This ensures excellent color reproduction on this smartphone, as well as an acceptable level of energy efficiency. Another plus of the device is the presence of a special sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness of the touch screen. There is also a more advanced model of this smartphone - 640 XL. The difference between these devices lies in the screen diagonal. In this case, it is increased by 0.7 inches and is 5.7 inches. But at the same time, the resolution of the screen itself has not changed. As a result, on a device with a larger diagonal, the image quality is worse than on the younger model.

Graphics accelerator

"Adreno 305" - this is the model of the graphics accelerator installed in the Lumia 640. This video accelerator cannot boast of a high level of performance. But its main task is to free the central processor from processing graphic information and thereby increase overall performance. mobile system... And he copes with this task perfectly. Separately, it should also be noted that this operating system is optimized for "modest" Hardware... As a result, we get a completely balanced solution, both from the standpoint of hardware and software.

Cameras

Sufficiently high-quality cameras installed in them are not impressive, but this does not mean that it is impossible to get high-quality images with their help. The main camera has an 8 megapixel sensor. There is a high-quality automatic focusing system and a single LED backlight. Also, the developers did not forget to equip it with a digital zoom. Other features of this camera include the BSI sensor and f / 2.2 aperture. As a result, the photo quality is really excellent, especially for an entry-level gadget. This smartphone can record video with an image resolution of 1920 x 1080. In this case, the picture will be updated 30 times per second. Therefore, with the recording of videos, this smartphone is also all right. A more modest 0.9MP sensor is at the heart of the front-facing camera. But this does not prevent her from recording video in 720p format (that is, calls will be made in exactly the same quality). It does not have an autofocus system, but it is quite enough for an average-quality “selfie”.

Memory

The memory subsystem of the Lumia 640 is also satisfactory. Its characteristics are really good for such a software platform. The amount of RAM installed is 1 GB. For the simultaneous launch of several resource-intensive applications, this is quite enough. In this case, the interface will work smoothly and without glitches. The integrated disk storage capacity of this device is 8 GB. Some of them are occupied by the operating system. As a result, without external storage in the form of a flash card is indispensable. Its maximum capacity can be 128 GB. The only drawback in this case is that you will have to buy this accessory separately and for an additional fee. Also, Microsoft Corporation, to stimulate sales of mobile gadgets on the basis of its software platform, provides free of charge to buyers of this device 30 GB for a period of 1 year on its cloud service OneDrive. As a result, the given parameters of the memory subsystem are quite enough for a comfortable and comfortable work on a device such as the Microsoft Lumia 640 smartphone.

Battery and device autonomy

As noted earlier, the battery is removable in the Lumia 640. Reviews highlight its fairly high capacity of 2500 mAh. This, according to the manufacturer, will be enough for 26 and a half hours of continuous communication in cellular networks second generation. For 3G, this value decreases by 6 hours and is already equal to 17.5 hours. If the gadget is used as an MP3 player, then one battery charge will last for 86 hours. In standby mode, this device can last 36 days. In reality, the owner of this gadget can count on 2-3 days autonomous work at an average load level. If you increase it, the time will decrease to 10-12 hours (this is true for the most demanding games of the latest generation). Well, in the most economical mode, you can count on 5 days of work without recharging.

Data exchange

By the number of installed SIM cards, this smartphone model can be with 1 or 2 slots for their installation. The last one is called the Lumia 640 Dual Sim. Reviews highlight high quality the work is a model with two cards installed. At the same time, no serious problems were found. The device itself can work in any GSM networks: from 2G to 4G. He has no problem with all this. At the same time, the speed of information transfer varies from several hundred kilobits per second to a solid 150 megabits per second. The gadget also supports the most common Wi-Fi standards: b, g, and n. Since the remaining a and ac standards are compatible with the three above, there are no problems with the operation of such wired networks either.

The developers have not forgotten about "Bluetooth". In this case, we are talking about its 4th version, which allows, in addition to exchanging data with similar mobile devices, also connect to a smartphone wireless headset... The navigation capabilities of the device are implemented using GPS technology. As noted earlier, using the HERE service, it allows you to determine the location of the gadget even without an Internet connection. Additionally, the device implements A-GPS technology. It determines locations based on a signal from the towers cellular... But at the same time, you must be connected to the Internet. If the accuracy of this method is acceptable within the settlement, then there may be problems on the track. Another important interface is NFC, which allows you to quickly transfer a large amount of information to a similar device in a matter of minutes. But there are only two wired interfaces that distinguish the high sound quality obtained from the audio port. Well, the second interface is a micro-USB located on the lower edge of the smartphone.

Software

Initially, this gadget is installed with version 8.1 of the operating Windows systems... The Lumia 640 performed well under her control. But the hardware of this device made it possible to update the system software. As a result, in June of this year, an update was released for this model to the 10th Windows versions Phone. A similar upgrade of the software part took place for the older model - Nokia Lumia 640 XL. But the level of sales of gadgets on this platform is very modest. To somehow stimulate this process, Microsoft decided to supplement this smartphone with a number of pleasant bonuses. The first of them (it was mentioned earlier) is 30 GB on the cloud service of this company OneDrive for a period of 1 year, and absolutely free. Another plus of this gadget is the pre-installed office suite"Microsoft Office". In addition to it, smartphone owners also receive an Office 365 one-year subscription absolutely free of charge. To carry out photo editing on the device, "Photoshop Express" from "Adobe" is preinstalled. But the navigation functions of this "smart" phone can be performed by the HERE + map service, developed by Nokia. Its main advantage is the ability to determine the location without an Internet connection. For this, only the GPS signal is used. But for making video calls on this device, the most popular product for today is preinstalled - Skype.

Price

The Microsoft Lumia 640 phone was originally priced at $ 223. But even at that time, a device with similar parameters on other platforms was much cheaper. Therefore, after a significant decrease in demand for this gadget, the price dropped to $ 160. Now the cost of the gadget has decreased even more and is $ 150. Such a price tag is entirely consistent with the software and hardware capabilities of this smartphone.

For a long time, Microsoft remained outside the smartphone market. Then the employees have developed the Windows Mobile operating system especially for phones. Even Samsung devices received it.

In recent years, the company has partnered with Nokia, but later OS devices Windows Phone began to be released under the Microsoft brand. One of these devices is the Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim. The phone was released in 2015.

For a long time, the company did not release five-inch mid-price smartphones with HD-resolution. This decision was incomprehensible, since such devices were in demand 2-3 years ago.

Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE Dual Sim is an inexpensive but productive solution for those who love two SIM cards in one case and want to have real support for LTE networks.

Specifications

Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim received an inexpensive Qualcomm processor paired with an Adreno video accelerator. This combination, although it cannot boast of high performance, looks preferable to the same at the price of a pair of MediaTek and Mali.

note

The device received two cameras, it supports LTE and has NFC.

Completion and packaging

The hero of the review is sold in a box typical for Lumia smartphones. The top cover is decorated with the image of the phone. In the left and right corners, you can see the manufacturer's logo and model name, respectively.

There is practically no information on technical characteristics on the packaging - all data are presented in the form of a few pictures on a glued sticker. The packaging consists of two parts, where one is placed inside the other.

Configuration Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim can envy even the most ardent fans to include a minimum of accessories. Inside the box, in addition to the device itself, the following elements are located:

  • Charger;
  • User manual;
  • Warranty card;
  • Battery.

Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim Package Contents.

As you can see, the equipment is modest to the point. The charger is one-piece, so even a Micro-USB sync cable will have to be purchased on your own. The same goes for protective films, headphones, etc. It is also not entirely clear why the battery is not in the smartphone.

Video

Appearance and design

Based on their design, all phones in the Lumia line can be divided into three categories. The first includes rectangular and strict devices made of metal with sharp edges. The second category includes phones similar to the first, but only in plastic case... The third group consists of models with rounded edges, which smoothly merge one into the second.

Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim is a typical representative of the third category of smartphones. It is presented in four colors.

It's important to know

Apart from the classic black and white colors, the phone can be found in orange and bright blue colors.

Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim color solutions.

On the front panel, one cannot fail to notice the wide frames both on the sides and above and below. There are no elements under the screen except for the spoken microphone. The navigation keys are placed on the display. In the upper part of the front panel of the phone, the manufacturer has placed the front camera peephole, sensors, earpiece opening and its own logo.

On the back, you can see the main camera with flash, speaker and company logo. The cover can be removed and opens access to a removable battery, two trays for installing SIM-cards, as well as a slot for a microSD memory card, which, if necessary, expandable with 8GB of built-in storage.

A plastic cover, on the inside of which an NFC antenna is glued, covers the body of the phone and goes to the side edges. The device is assembled with high quality, there are no squeaks when the case is squeezed.

note

The disadvantage of the design is the lack of recesses with which it would be possible to comfortably remove the cover. Therefore, you have to press on the camera lens so that the body squeezes out, and a millimeter of plastic appears, which you can catch with your fingernail.

The left side panel is left without any elements. The hardware keys are located on the right side. The adjustment button is located above, and below it is the on / off key for the phone. Both elements protrude above the plane of the right side, which makes them easy to feel with your fingers. At the top and bottom there is an audio output for connecting a wired headset and a Micro-USB port, respectively.

The smartphone is easy to use. It is compact and fits in pockets without any problems, without causing inconvenience when walking. The dimensions of the Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim are 141.3x72.2x8.8 mm, and the device weighs 145 g.

Will be useful

The phone is comfortable to hold in the hand, but the plastic construction is rather slippery. It is also convenient for them to use one hand.

Display

The hero received the review. Its diagonal is 5 inches, and the resolution is 1280x720 pixels. Covered up matrix protective glass 3rd generation Gorilla Glass. The pixel density is 294 dpi. The screen is of high quality, but it is impossible to single out any features that would distinguish it from a number of displays of other smartphones with such dimensions and resolution.

Thanks to the light sensor, the device received an automatic brightness control mode. It works quickly, but it does not always adjust the brightness accurately. The sensor supports up to four simultaneous clicks.

note

If there are more touches, the capacitive sensor confuses them, and also begins to behave inappropriately. However, four simultaneous touches will be enough for any average person.

Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim has an IPS display.

In the settings, you can select and independently adjust one of three brightness profiles:

  • Short;
  • Average;
  • High.

You can also adjust the sensitivity of the light sensor. In conditions of complete darkness, the brightness level decreases to 3.2, 12, and 25 cd / m2, if the sensitivity slider is set to the minimum, standard and maximum values, respectively. The second two values are suitable for comfortable work with the phone in complete darkness. 3.2 cd / m2 - the brightness is too low, but suitable if you use the device after waking up in the middle of the night.

Will be useful

When working with the phone in the sun, the maximum reserve of brightness is enough to make out the information on the display. Also in the settings you can activate an option that improves visibility in the sun.

The image on the smartphone screen is characterized by saturation and natural color reproduction. If you look at the display at an angle of 45 degrees, the picture loses in contrast. Also, with significant deviations of the gaze from the perpendicular, the brightness decreases.

Software

The hero of the review received Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 with the Lumia Denim package as an OS. At first it will be difficult for Android adepts to understand the interface of the operating system. Traditionally, the smartphone has received many applications, among which the following should be noted:

  • Microsoft Office package;
  • Skype;
  • One Drive;
  • One Note.

8 GB of ROM does not seem like a "disaster", as a user purchasing a Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim gets 15 GB "in the cloud" OneDrive for data storage, as well as an additional 15 GB for backup photographs. In addition, the owner of a Microsoft smartphone is provided with a free subscription to Office 365. It is valid for 1 year.

Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim received Windows Phone 8.1 as the OS.

Other pre-installed applications include Here Drive + and Here Maps. The smartphone of the Here Transit program has lost, but it can be installed without any problems from the company store.

Developers and photography enthusiasts did not pass by. So, there are five separate applications in the device's memory:

  • Lumia Animated photos;
  • Lumia Instants;
  • Lumia Selfie;
  • Lumia Camera;
  • Lumia Stories.

Sound

The smartphone received two speakers and one microphone. There is no noise reduction system. The speech speaker is characterized by a high volume level. It also does not distort the sound.

note

Despite the absence of an auxiliary microphone, the interlocutor's voice is heard well even with external noise.

High-quality sound from Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim.

As for the multimedia speaker, it is loud, but inferior in quality to the spoken one. Wheezing is heard when music is played at full volume. The speaker is located on the rear panel and has a small hole, which makes it easy to muffle. If you close the speaker with something, the sound is practically inaudible, and vibrations go through the body.

Performance

The heart of the Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim is the budget Snapdragon 400 processor. It is paired with the Adreno 305. The device also has 8 GB of user memory along with 1 GB of RAM.

The hardware platform is no different, except that it can be seen on countless mobile devices. At the time the smartphone entered the market, the chipset was almost two years old. Initially, it was intended for phones in the middle price segment, but then migrated to cheaper devices. The "filling" of the hero of the review is at times inferior to the flagship processors, which received the devices Lumia 930 Lumia 1520, but it allows you to perform all simple tasks. But it should be noted that "iron" has no power reserve.

In addition to Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim, Nokia Lumia 735/830 devices received such hardware.

Will be useful

In the PhoneMark test, the hero of the review gains 900 points, while the other two models - 800 points. In the AnTuTu benchmark, all three devices show approximately the same results - 11.5-12 thousand points.

The heart of the Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim is the budget Snapdragon 400 processor.

The same situation is observed in the processor test in MultiBench 2 - 15.5-16 thousand points. In the test graphics chip the hero of the review is inferior to other models, gaining 44.5 thousand points. But the lag is small - the result of Nokia Lumia 735 is 46 thousand points, and Lumia 830 gets 46.5 thousand points. By the way, if in AnTuTu Lumia 930 and Lumia 1520 with 800 "dragon" scored twice as much as devices with Snapdragon 400 "on board", then in MultiBench in "Graphics" mode the results of the flagships are on the same level with the indicators cheap models. The difference between the Adreno - 305 and 320 is not that significant.

In general, the hardware platform at the time of the release of the Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim was still enough. More demanding games ran on medium and minimum settings.

It's important to know

The functioning of SIM-cards is built the traditional way, if one SIM card works in 3 / 4G, the other works only in 2G.

Camera

The Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual Sim has an 8-megapixel autofocus module with flash.

The main camera received an 8-megapixel module with autofocus, its own flash with an aperture of f / 2.2 and a focal length of 28 mm. Video is recorded at a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The front camera is equipped with a sensor with a resolution of 0.9 megapixels and an aperture of f / 2.4. The camera received neither flash nor autofocus.

note

The maximum video recording resolution is 1280x720 pixels.

The weak points of the cameras are their resolutions. The main one shoots well if you take into account the 8-megapixel resolution. She combines good optics with moderate software processing. The camera copes with document processing and macro photography. Photos are characterized by a high level of sharpness and detail. The front camera takes pictures typical of a 1-megapixel module. Their qualities, together with processing in one of graphic editors, enough for posting on social networks.

Removable

Nokia, which has recently lost its leadership in the mobile market, is actively expanding its presence. In particular, this can be evidenced by a number of smartphones, which favorably differ from their competitors due to their special technical characteristics.

The same can be said for the model we are describing in this article. Meet the Lumia 640 DS, a review of which we have prepared especially for you. It should be noted that two different devices have been released under this brand, which, first of all, differ in their dimensions and a number of possibilities. These are the 640 and Lumia 640 XL. The review that we have prepared today will tell you about the main advantages and disadvantages of this smartphone, describe some user reviews about it. We will also draw a number of our conclusions regarding this gadget.

Positioning

Let's start with a general description of how the device is presented in the Nokia lineup and how the manufacturer positions the Lumia 640. The review we prepared showed that the smartphone belongs to the lower middle price class - prices start at 10,000 rubles. Despite this, the capabilities of the device can really be called broad, based on the specifications indicated by the developers. In particular, we are talking about powerful processor, colorful display, build quality Lumia 640. The review that you are reading now contains more detailed information on all these points, so you just have to be patient and you will learn all about this device very soon. In the meantime, here are the characteristics of the packaging of the device and its kit.

Equipment

First of all, I would like to note the special flat shape of the box in which the device is offered on the market. It is made of special cardboard, not quite familiar in its texture, with the application of images of a smartphone and Microsoft logos. Opening the package, we meet a neatly laid device that comes in a modest set with a charger. The developers did not equip the model with a cable for connecting to a PC, so it will have to be purchased separately. Also inside you can find the documentation for the model, which describes the features of working with the Lumia 640.

We will not stop our review on the kit - let's move on to the appearance of the smartphone.

Design

It is hardly worth noting that Lumia has its own corporate identity, which is used for all devices in this line. The same can be said about the Microsoft Lumia 640. The overview contains images, so you can already understand what is meant by them. This is the darkened front side of the device (visually “erasing” the line between the actual screen and its plastic surroundings) and a bright glossy surface back cover phone. All Lumias are made in this style, so the user will not discover anything new for himself (in this regard).

The phone comes in, as Microsoft used to do, in two color options. They are blue and orange. However, panels in other colors will also be on sale (and, in fact, it depends on them how the smartphone looks like).

The navigation elements of the device are represented by a classic set consisting of soft keys under the screen and physical keys on the right side edge. We are talking about the display lock buttons and the volume rocker.

In general, the assembly of the device can be noted on the positive side - the quality of the plastic is high here, and all the elements are fitted closely. The phone lies well in the hand - despite the glossy texture, the model does not strive to slip out of the hands. So, while we were preparing a review for the Lumia 640, we could not find any defects, backlash or squeaks.

Screen

The phone is presented in the popular (recently) class of devices, which consist of 5-inch phablets. This is the optimal size for the device screen, which is in great demand today. We can say that such models are both functional enough and not too cumbersome at the same time.

The XL version received a display with a slightly larger diagonal and reaches 5.9 inches.

The resolution of the display, operating on the basis of IPS technology, is 1280 by 720 pixels, which allows us to talk about a clear and rich picture. In addition, the image on the screen of the device does not change its color gamut even when turning and tilting, which is a positive feature.

The outside of the screen is covered (which significantly reduces the force of friction of the finger on the screen and, in addition, allows you to easily remove the resulting handprints on the Microsoft Lumia 640. The review also showed that the display is equipped with a third generation protective glass, which also has increased resistance to mechanical stress and damage.

CPU

The model, as noted above, is equipped with a fairly productive "stuffing", despite its relatively low cost. This refers to the processor from Qualcomm - Snapdragon 400, which operates on the basis of 4 cores. Each of them is capable of delivering a clock speed of 1.2 GHz.

In addition, the smartphone has 1 GB of RAM, which makes it possible to talk about its high operating speed.

The reviews left about the Lumia 640 LTE (the review, of course, also takes them into account) testifies to the same - the phone is capable of playing bulky (in terms of its graphical component) games with Windows Market and, besides, he himself has a “nimble” response. We did not manage to find any inconveniences, such as delays or “glitches” in our daily work, while we were testing the device.

It should be clarified that both modifications of the smartphone work on the same software platform.

Operating system

In part, this quality of smartphone performance is due to its software component, or rather, the OS on which it operates. This is, according to the official specs, Windows Phone 8.1. This version was relevant at the time of the release of the model in early 2015, while after the release of Windows 10, the smartphone software was most likely updated.

There is a lot of controversy about how comfortable it is to work with a WP-platform device. Users accustomed to the flexibility of Android can, of course, complain about the peculiarities of Windows Phone. One way or another - the system also has a lot of advantages. These include a simple and intuitive logic for building the structure of the system, a wide range of software, the availability of some standard software packages from Microsoft, such as Office and others. All this, of course, makes working with the phone more convenient and at the same time expands the user's capabilities.

Battery

Our review is not devoted to Android devices, which are rumored to have so many low levels of autonomy. Nevertheless, the battery consumption level (the capacity of which, according to the official documentation, is 2500 mAh) is at about the same level here. The larger XL version is different in this regard as well, as it has a 3000 mAh battery. This allows us to talk about more high level the autonomy of the device compared to the basic modification, even despite the enlarged display and, as a result, a slightly different level of charge consumption.

If you actively use this device (meaning working with Internet access networks, watching videos, playing games and other applications), then one charge will last for 1-1.5 days. Therefore, most likely, more advanced users using the wide range of functions of the device will need to charge it every day.

For those who need the Lumia 640 LTE (which we are reviewing) only as a phone (meaning the use of its most basic functions and capabilities), it should be said that in standby mode the model is ready to work for 3-4 days.

Camera

As we know, all Lumia smartphones are positioned by the developer as devices with a high-quality camera capable of taking cool pictures. This feature even characterizes a number of Microsoft models as “camera phones”.

However, as the review showed about the Lumia 640 LTE Dual, this model is not one of those. On the one hand, the resolution of its main camera is 8 megapixels, which, taking into account the developer's reputation, makes it possible to speak not about “fictitious” pixels, as is the case with a lot of Chinese manufacturers, but about a real indicator of high quality images. So it is, but taking into account the low cost of the device. In practice, of course, in most cases, what a given camera captures will suit most buyers. What can not be said about the front one, the resolution of which is equal to 0.9 megapixels.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM compares favorably with the basic version in this regard. Our review showed that the pictures are richer and more realistic when captured by her 13MP main camera. The front one on the "enlarged" model also turned out to be more powerful - we are talking about 5 megapixels.

Connection

There are no unique features that could be attributed to the communication side of the device on the Lumia 640 Dual SIM (the review proves this). Yes, both smartphones support the operation of two SIM cards (as evidenced by the full name of the device). In addition, phones are equipped with all the necessary (for this class of devices) capabilities such as: Bluetooth-module, systems GPS navigation and A-GPS, support for high-speed mobile connection LTE.

Fans of technological innovations will love the presence of an NFC module on both smartphones. With its help, you can make contactless payments, as well as charge your phone (if you have a special charger) without the need for a network connection.

Sensors

I would like to pay special attention to various sensors and other modules installed on this model. So, the presence of an accelerometer and an approximation will hardly surprise anyone today. But such add-ons as SensorCore (a special solution from Microsoft that allows you to improve the operation of the device's sensor and make it more efficient), a magnetometer and a smartphone orientation sensor in space are already something new.

Of course, the average user is unlikely to pay close attention to these systems. However, they are - and with their help, working with some applications can become more interactive and exciting.
