25.07.2017

Our readers have already familiarized themselves with some of the possibilities CCleaner programs when we were exploring a way to quickly clean up your computer's registry. Then we decided not to waste time on detailed overview all the possibilities of this wonderful program and were limited to only one of the functions.

However, the functionality and effectiveness of CCleaner, as well as the capabilities free version so great that it would be a great omission not to pay attention to them. Therefore, today we are analyzing how to speed up a computer using CCleaner.

Content

In fact, quite objective reasons pushed me to write this article. The computer in the office, a real workhorse, began to think for a long time and freeze. It is not surprising, because the hot summer is just in full swing, and the increased volume of work and "mountains" of accumulated garbage on the disk affect the speed of work in a far from the best way.

After performing general cleaning in the system unit, and at the same time replacing the thermal paste with central processing unit, as a result of which two articles were born completely spontaneously, I proceeded to preventive cleaning from digital garbage. At the same time, I decided to acquaint our readers with the capabilities of the most popular computer cleaning program.

First, we need to download the latest version of CCleaner from the official website.
For your convenience, I have provided a link to direct download programs, but you can always find CCleaner in a search engine yourself. The first link leads to the Russian-language site dedicated to this program, and the second to the official site in English.

This is how the site of the Russian community of the CCleaner program looks like. Please note that, in addition to the regular version, we are offered to download the Portable version, which does not require installation.

And this is the official site from the developers of the British company Piriform. The usual free version is quite enough for us.

The professional version costs $ 24 and differs from the free extended technical support and some additional functions that are also performed by standard Windows programs.

We launch our file, the installation program opens, in which we indicate the language in the upper right corner, and click on the blue button Install.

Uncheck the box and click on the button Run.

The main program window opens. At the top of the program, it immediately displays short info about our device. As you can see, our work computer is running Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit and a few lines about hardware.

The program is ready to work, and you can proceed to the next step.

CCleaner features

In addition to the aforementioned registry cleaner function, CCleaner perfectly cleans up temporary files, removes unnecessary programs from startup and helps to get rid of unnecessary programs completely.

System cleaning

Open system cleaning, click on the button Analysis... The program warns that it is open Chrome browser and offers to close it. If this is not done, the temporary files of this program simply will not be deleted, since they will be busy with work.

Important! Take your time to run a system cleanup. Go to the Applications tab and uncheck Cookies if you don't want to re-enter passwords on multiple sites. I don't want to, so I'm taking pictures. Also, the history of visited sites is important to me for work, so for now we will not delete it either.

Push the button Cleaning, we agree with the deletion of files and see how the program frees up 1.5GB of temporary files with a graceful movement of the progress bar, which significantly slows down the system!

Registry cleaning

We mentioned more about cleaning the registry in the corresponding article. The main thing is, do not forget to make backups and clean the registry no more than once every couple of months.

Click on the button Search for problems, after analysis we study the list, click Fix Selected.

In the next window, we agree with the creation and saving of backups, indicate the location where to save the backup. Next, boldly click on the button To correct or Fix marked.

If, after cleaning the registry, you have lost the necessary shortcuts, programs stopped working and any errors in the work were found, you can always reverse the changes made.

CCleaner is a program for cleaning your computer from old and unused cache files that you have not used for a long time. Also, the program cleans the Windows registry and "unnecessary" browser files, such as cookies and password autofill forms. All this, of course, not only adds free space on disk, it also improves system optimization and generally makes your computer faster.

Today we will look at the functions of the CCleaner program and clean up the system and registry from garbage.

First, we need to download the program. CCleaner has 3 types of licenses.

If you want to support developers, you can buy a CCleaner license. On our site you can download the latest "Free" license for Windows for free.

After downloading, install the program, having previously selected the Russian language, so that later there will be no confusion. Once you've installed CCleaner, launch it. You will notice that the interface resembles the "tiled" interface of Windows 8, even with a completely different operating system on board. Here are tabs with various utilities that will help you clean up your computer. In the "Empty" menu, you will see the option to empty your browser, trash, and applications. The menu itself is divided into "Windows" and "Applications". Under each of the parameters, you can select with checkmarks what the program should delete. By default, the program itself "knows" what needs to be removed, but if you do not agree with it, you can remove or, conversely, add an extra check mark. Using the "Analyze" button, you can find out in advance what exactly will be cleaned and how much of the files to be deleted will be.

The "Cleanup" button starts the program according to the specified parameters. If you forgot to indicate or remove something, you can cancel the cleaning at any time and set the desired parameters. After completing the work, the program will compose a report on the work done and indicate how much space has been freed on the disk.

After cleaning the system, you can go to the next tab - "Registry". You don't need to configure anything in the Registry menu. CCleaner configures the cleaning parameters itself windows registry... But, if you are versed in the registry (you would not read the review of this program), you can remove the extra checkboxes at your discretion. After reviewing the selected parameters, click on the "Search for problems" button. CCleaner will start analyzing your operating system registry for errors and unnecessary entries. After analysis, you will see what problems have befallen your computer.

Immediately click on the "Fix" button and take the pain out of your PC. Before cleaning, you will be asked if it is worth keeping a backup of your registry. In fact, I never found it useful to make a backup of the registry, but just in case it is better to save it in some folder where this file will never hurt you, but you will always know where it is. This is done so that you can return the settings to the current state if you have problems with starting the system or some program does not want to start due to a failure in the registry. After saving a copy of the registry, in the window that appears, click the "Fix marked" button. The system will notify you of a job well done and ask you to close the window with the program.

After cleaning the system and its registry, it's time to go to the "Service" tab. This tab has a simplified utility "" in the sense that you can configure startup, and there are functions "Remove Programs", "System Restore", "Erase Disks" and "Find Duplicates". Also, using the "Analyze disks" function, you can find out what types of files (pictures, videos, documents, etc.) on your computer more.

In the "Settings" tab you can set such program parameters as automatic update programs, cleaning during computer startup, etc.

That's all! I consider the review complete. Congratulations on a cleaned and optimized PC. Do these procedures every 2 weeks and you will never know what hovering and braking is.

Perhaps everyone who has heard that with the help CCleaner you can completely uninstall this or that application, began to be interested in this issue in detail and what advantages it gives in comparison with the standard ones Windows tools... So, ?

Entirely, but not completely

The fact is that when you uninstall an application using Windows tools or by running the file Uninstall.exe it does not always happen complete removal from your computer hard drive. This is due to the concept of using shared resources in Windows. In the days of DOS, an application was simply copied into its directory, and already had everything necessary for its full functioning.

Everything changed with the advent of Windows... Its applications began to access some resources of other applications installed earlier.

On the one hand, it saves system resources and free hard disk space. On the other hand, just the opposite: resources are wasted, and free space is getting smaller and smaller. Why is this happening? And because even after removing one or another Windows applications leaves "just in case" some system files so that later and could use other programs. But here's the problem: in practice, such files are not always really needed. So there are unnecessary entries in the registry, "Clogged" RAM, hard disk space is wasted.

How to uninstall a program using CCleaner

Comes to the rescue uninstalling programs with CCleaner... This utility analyzes and removes all that "garbage" that is dead weight in folders and only slows down the computer. To uninstall any application using CCleaner, you need to do the following:

  • launch the CCleaner application;
  • go to the "Service" tab on the left side of the working window;
  • select the topmost item "Remove Programs";
  • will be built full list all applications that are installed on this computer;
  • you need to choose desired application and click on the "Uninstall" button;
  • after the uninstallation, you need to clean the registry and the system.

In addition to this button, two others are available: Rename and Delete. Actually, they are responsible for renaming the program (this happens in a number of special cases), and "Delete" does not remove the program from the hard disk, but only removes it from the list. This is useful if, for example, remote program is still displayed in the list. Knowing how to uninstall a program using CCleaner, you can uninstall without worrying about all sorts of "junk" files that will slow down the entire system.

Every PC user notices that over time, the operating system starts to work slower and slower. This happens because a lot of undeleted temporary files accumulate on the PC. The same reason slow work PCs are erroneous entries in the registry that are created in the course of daily work. You can fix these problems and speed up your PC by uninstalling extra files and unnecessary branches from the system registry. The fastest and most convenient tool for this is free program CCleaner.

Each of the sections is called by pressing the corresponding button on the vertical button panel on the left:

Cleaning up the system with CCleaner

Chapter Cleaning allows you to find and delete files that are no longer needed on your computer. Most often it is temporary files various programs or the operating system itself Windows. Module working area Cleaning consists of two fields - on the left side of the window, you can enable or disable the cleaning of various areas of programs that support CCleaner... The right area is empty at startup. During work CCleaner information on the progress of the cleaning process will be displayed on the right side.

To start search for temporary files you need to press a button Analysis in the lower part work area CCleaner:

The process of scanning the system file space will begin. Scanning progress is displayed in the work area CCleaner:

After the scan is complete, a list of files that can be deleted will be displayed:

For delete temporary files found CCleaner you need to press a button Cleaning in the lower right part of the work area CCleaner... The progress of the uninstallation process is also displayed in the workspace of the program:

Cleaning the registry with CCleaner

Registry cleaning module allows you to find and fix erroneous entries in system registry that slow down your computer. In the workspace of the module, you can also select areas of the registry that you want or do not want to process. To start finding problems in the registry you need to press a button Search for problems.

The progress of the troubleshooting process and the errors found will be displayed in the workspace CCleaner:

CCleaner very reliable system, however it is recommended to always save backups before performing the cleaning procedure.

CCleaner will once again display a request to confirm the deletion of all found errors. After that, the program will quickly process all errors without additional requests. As a result, not a single entry will remain in the list of errors:

Removing programs via CCleaner

Chapter Service programs CCleaner allows you to remove programs installed on your computer, as well as configure the list of applications that automatically start when loading the operating system. This section is divided into three subsections:

Removing programs

In subsection Removing programs a list of applications installed on the computer is displayed. V standard system uninstall programs, which can be found in the panel Windows management, some installed programs may not be displayed (if their developers so desired). Unlike the Windows mechanism, CCleaner displays all programs that have ever been installed on a computer using the installer.

An important feature CCleaner is an special function removal of programs that were previously uninstalled incorrectly. This happens if the standard uninstaller of the program to be removed did not work correctly, or if the program files were manually deleted by the user, without using the uninstaller.

To uninstall a program using its own installer, select it in the window CCleaner and press the button Uninstall.

If the uninstaller of the program did not work for some reason, click the button Delete... In this case CCleaner will find and delete both the files of this program from the disk and the traces left by it in the computer registry. It should be remembered that the mode Deletions programs in CCleaner is designed to remove only those applications that cannot be removed regular means.

Another cool feature CCleaner- rename any installed program... It is difficult to say in what cases this is necessary, but there is such a possibility.

Startup

- one of the most useful in the system CCleaner... Using this section, you can manage the list of programs that are automatically launched when the computer boots... During installation, many programs create special autoloading modules that automatically check for updates via the Internet, often without even informing the user about it. Such modules slow down loading, consume Internet traffic, processor power and RAM computer. Finding and disabling automatically loaded programs using normal Windows mechanisms is not easy - many of them deliberately mask their automatic activity. CCleaner allows you to see and disable those startup programs that you do not need.

Removing Windows restore points

System Restore - new section CCleaner, which appeared only in one of the latest versions... It allows you to manage the so-called control points recovery operating system Windows... These are archives of a special format, created by the operating system automatically and usually taking up a lot of space.

Configuring CCleaner

In chapter Settings you can define parameters and action rules CCleaner to clean up the system. For example, in subsection Coockie files you can configure the cookies of which sites you want to delete and which, on the contrary, you need to leave. For example, you don't need to delete the cookies of your favorite sites that you use every day, but the cookies of advertising agencies can be deleted without regret:

In subsection Exceptions you can specify from which program directories you should not delete temporary files. This is useful if you are using applications that automatically archive files with the same extensions as temporary files, for example "bak":

CCleaner allows you to significantly stabilize and speed up your computer by deleting files from it that are not used by any programs, but only take up space on the hard disk and take up system resources. Run CCleaner at least once a week and your the computer will work quickly and stably.

We recommend to use with CCleaner any defragmentation program hard disk, for example Defraggler, which was developed by the same company as CCleaner, is also perfectly translated into Russian and works very quickly and reliably.

Hey! Today's post I want to write to help a young webmaster, who in this moment I am myself. It will be about the fact that with constant use of a computer in operating system a "heap" of temporary files is formed.

For example, let's analyze the situation: we opened some program, together with it, its files were opened with a trailer. Ideally, after completing and closing it, the temporary files should also be closed. But it also happens that some files do not want to be closed and this is not visually visible. After a certain time and intensive work, these very temporary files become larger and they hang in the system as a dead weight. Consequently - incorrect work Windows.

In fact, no one needs computer junk and should be disposed of. Perfect for the role of "janitor" free CCleaner program.

You can download and install CCleaner here http://ccleaner.org.ua/download/. It is popular on the web and is a powerful tool despite its seeming simplicity.

The main tasks of the program are to find and fix problems in Windows system, optimization and acceleration of its work. Cleaning my computer with CCleaner takes me no more than two minutes. It should be set up once and it will serve you faithfully.

It is enough to use the program once a week or if the computer starts to “glitch”, also after installing or reinstalling a complex program.

Let's analyze its main functions:

  • Cleaning- responsible for finding and removing unnecessary temporary files from the computer
  • Registry- responsible for cleaning the Windows registry from entries
  • Service- here you can free up space on your hard disk or simply. (i.e. we get rid of unnecessary program not through START and CONTROL PANEL and straight from CC CLINER). There are other applications here too: startup, file search, system restore, erasing disks.
  • Settings- is responsible for configuring the basic parameters of CCleaner. Here you can set cleaning when starting the computer or select the disk on which the service should run, etc.

Mainly use functions "Cleaning" and "Registry".

Let's look at my example of the work of this wonderful program. Open it and click on "Analysis"... At this time, the system will analyze and identify unnecessary files... Then click on "Cleaning"... That's it, the program reported on the completion of cleaning.

Next, go to "Registry"... The procedure is the same, click on "Search for problems", then "To correct"... Before clicking "Fix", the system will ask "Save backup copies of the changes made?" You can save or not. Personally, I don’t save.

That's all the preventive procedure that I do weekly. Personally, I like this program and it is far from the only one of its kind.
