Mods with dna 200 board. Hot new product from Lost Vape. A box mod on a new DNA board called Paranormal. But what's the difference? Which of these boards is better

Hello everyone =) In this review, we will focus on the boxing mod for the Laude electronic cigarette, on board which is the DNA 75W board from Evolv.

The mod is available in two colors

And red

Well, rather, in options with a predominance of red or black =)

The mod comes in a solid box

The device itself is located inside

Mrco-usb cable and instructions

The mod has a rubberized coating, well, very pleasant to the touch. The design of the device is also very ergonomic - the mod lies very well in the hand.

The technical characteristics are as follows:

OLED screen 0.91 "
- Size 44 x 23 x 84 mm
- Modes: Thermal control (6 modes) and Varivatt
- Watts: 1-75 in 0.5 watt steps
- Temperature range: 100-300 C / 200-600 F
- Resistance range: 0.08-1.0 ohm for thermal control and 0.1-2.0 ohm for varwatt
- protection against short circuit, overdischarge, reversed polarity of the battery, overheating of the mod, too high and too low resistance of the spirals.

Detailed tech. specifications

The design of the mod is quite simple, but laconic:
On the front panel there is a screen with a Fire, "+" and "-" button, as well as a micro-usb connector for charging the mod and updating the firmware via the EScribe program. (In the photo, I specifically cite a comparison with VTC mini)

Side panel without special insignia

The other has the Laude and Evolv emblems

On the base of the mod there are holes for exhausting gases

The mod is equipped with a powerful steel connector with a spring-loaded copper pin

The battery cover has horizontal recesses and looks quite interesting

The lid is very tight on two magnets and does not play at all

The mod has a 0.91-inch OLED screen. Screen readability is very good

In varivatt mode, the screen shows a schematic battery charge, coil resistance, volts output, battery charge in percent and watts themselves.

In thermal control mode - schematic battery charge, coil resistance, coil material (Ni, Ti, SS), battery charge percentage and temperature.

During charging, the screen displays a schematic charge, the resistance of the coil, the current charge in volts, the current charge in percent and the watts or temperature you set, depending on the mode. Discharges the mod battery up to 4.2 volts, discharges up to 3.3-3.4 volts.

As for mod management, for those who did not have mods with DNA board before, it will be a surprise that there is no menu in its usual sense.
The mod has 2 main "menu" modes, from which the rest of the functions are controlled.
So, to lock the buttons, you need to press the Fire button 3 times. In this state, all buttons are locked and you will not be able to hover or change watts / degrees.

If, in the unlocked state, hold down the "+" and "-" buttons for 2 seconds, the message "Power locked hold up and down" will appear. In this state, using the "+" and "-" buttons, you can select the temperature control (TC) or Power mode watts.
Variable mode can be used on Canthal, Nickel and Steel.

From the thermal control modes we have:

TC Only (in this mode, only the heating temperature of the spiral changes, while the mod gives out all possible voltage for heating the spiral. To select the material of the spiral, enter the button lock mode (press 3 times) and hold down the "+" and "-").

TC soft "-" (TC with a very low intensity of the spiral temperature rise)

TC soft (TC with a slightly reduced intensity of the spiral temperature rise)

TC normal

TC boost (TC with accelerated heating of the coil)

TC boost "+" (TC with almost instant heating of the coil)

Old TC (TC with voltage regulation on the "main" screen and temperature regulation on the screen with locking of buttons (3 times pressing the Fire button).

English manual

From the button lock mode, when pressing the "-" and Fire buttons at the same time, you can select Stealth (in this case, the screen turns off and lights up only to notify you about entering the button lock mode. When you press the "-", "+", Fire buttons, the screen does not light up, but all buttons perform their function. Also in stealth mode you can change the Variable / TC modes) or Normal modes.
When you press the "+" and Fire buttons from the button blocking mode, the spiral resistance is blocked, which is necessary for the TC mode.

English manual

V general management learns quickly enough and is not very difficult. However, it turned out to be very unusual for me not to be able to turn off the mod! The mod itself turns off after about 10 minutes, but almost instantly starts when the Fire button is pressed once (as far as I understand, this is a feature of the DNA board).

Photo boards are not mine

Another feature of mod customization is the use of Evolv's EScribe program. There is just a bunch of all sorts of settings, which are quite organically placed in their separate windows. Almost everything changes - from changing the time to switching the mod to sleep mode, to the own name of the button lock mode!
True, for some reason it did not start on my computer (Windows is already plugging in).

There is also a simulator of the EScribe program, with which you can play and test it.

As for the landing of atoms, the mod goes well with the red o-rings of my old Taifun GT-S =)

However, the side view shows that the atom protrudes slightly beyond the border of the mod, but this does not bother me.

But already with atoms 24mm in diameter, it does not look very much from the side

So what do we end up with?
- very high quality mod
- the famous Evolv DNA 75W board
- the ability to update the firmware and change the mod settings through the EScribe program
- ergonomic design and very pleasant coating
- compactness and at the same time sufficiently high performance
- a wide range of thermal control modes and spiral materials

Of course, this is a mod for 1 battery and for $ 50 it is expensive, I agree. However, the price of only the DNA 75W board will cost $ 50 on the manufacturer's website, so in essence we are buying a great quality mod for the price of its board! I am sure that Laude will not stop at this device (and it is their first!) And will delight us with high-quality mods in the future, but for now I am very pleased with this baby.

Thank you for your attention and all the summer =)

Evolv's DNA 200 chipset is a relatively recent and iconic event for vapers. It seems to be an insignificant event, but at the same time, the release of this motherboard marked a new qualitative step towards comfortable vaping. We would like to offer you a brief overview of all commercially available mods on the DNA 200 board. We hope that our article will help you choose the best box for this board, because the price range is wide enough. The question of the quality of work and the correct TC has already disappeared. You will only have to choose a suitable case, power and price in one bottle.

Some Key Facts About Evolv DNA 200 TC Board

So, everyone already knows that the DNA 200 is a chipset for electronic box mods. The manufacturer of this chip is the American company Evolv, which is already known for many designs of chips for electronic cigarettes. DNA 200 TC is their latest development and, at this moment, which has successfully surpassed the previous chipset models. This chipset has improved thermal, power and overheating control parameters. Also on the board are waterproof buttons. Re-flashing the board and monitoring can be carried out via the USB port with the special Evolv Escribe software. The board also allows devices to operate on three lithium-polymer batteries, which significantly increases the device's power and operating time.

Volcano lavabox

Price: $ 169.99
Power: 200W
Battery: 900mAh LiPo
Perhaps this is the most visually attractive box mod on DNA 200 boards. A stylish feature of this box is a rubber pad on both sides of the case, which gives a pleasant tactile sensation when you hold it in your hand. By the way, it is removable and the box manufacturer offers sets of overlays in different colors. I have not yet seen this box mod on Chinese sites. This so far guarantees that there are no clones and fakes for this mod. But it is quite expected that clones (hopefully - high-quality and with the original DNA 200 board) will appear on Chinese sites as well.

Cloudmaker Whiteout DNA 200

Price: $ 199.99
Power: 200W
Accumulator: 1100mAh LiPo
This bokmod, according to the manufacturer, is completely user configurable. This should be understood as the possibility of a complete change of the case and the board, as well as some external styling elements of the box. Moreover, to replace the board, you absolutely do not need soldering skills. The board is changed by simply pulling it out of the case and replacing it with a new one or another similar one. Therefore, you should not worry that your board will become obsolete, because Cloudmaker has provided the ability to change the board to more modern ones of the same size and ports.

Hotcig DX200

VTBox is another available model on the DNA 200 board. The box itself is quite massive and has a lot of weight. But I was also alarmed by the fact that one of my friends managed to screw him up. I do not know what talents you need to possess to kill the unkillable, but nevertheless, this fact takes place.

Vaporshark DNA200

Price: $ 199.99

Boxer Mod 133W

Price: $ 249.95– $ 274.95
Power: 133W
Battery: 2 x 18650
At the moment, this is one of two existing mods on the DNA 200 board, which uses two 18650 batteries. Unfortunately, this mod is limited to 133 watts. In my opinion, the most bespontovy and stupid option. Well, only if you were not bribed by its appearance. The case of the mod is also imprinted from a polymer composition.

SteamMonkey Vero DNA 200

Power: 200W
Battery: 3 x 18650
Another "print" mod, powered by three 18650 batteries. It comes in bright enough colors and has an unusual shape.

Available in an aluminum case for $ 200 and in two wood variations for $ 350 and $ 390. Again, box mod is the brainchild of local fashion lovers from America, and that's why it costs a pretty penny!

Cigreen has a pleasant appearance, which was given to it by the creators of the Dragon RDA RDA and the Excalibur mod. The body is made of brushed aluminum with steel accents.

Evolv has released a new DNA 250 board and from the description it is immediately clear what its main feature is. Boards are currently available in limited quantities. We are waiting for the first devices with the new board, but for now we will consider it in detail.

About DNA 250

The new DNA 250 board has the same dimensions as the old DNA 200 board. Up to 3 batteries can be used with the board. The location of the screen, buttons and USB-input also remain in place. There are several features.

The maximum power has grown to 250 watts, it is obvious from the name of the board. 55 A - limiting the output current. 2 A - input limit for charging batteries via usb. Protection on the board against incorrect battery installation. Improved fuse. Added temperature control for stainless steel materials, which is software and is also available for upgrade to DNA 200 and DNA 75.

From the description it is clear that the board is more powerful and additional protection has been added. Also pleases 2 A of charging. Although it is worth remembering that the board will use more likely with 3 batteries and the charge will be divided among all 3 batteries. Those. each battery will receive approximately 0.65 A. It is interesting to see new devices that will appear in a couple of months.

The board for manufacturers will be purged at $ 80, but in a very limited edition.

Details can be found on the manufacturer's website

The boards produced by the American company Evolv LLC are well known in the world of vaping. A huge variety of mods have been created on their basis. Perhaps any bather who knows about them, not being an ardent adherent of mechanics, wants to have at least one for himself.

Many are stopped by the price of devices, which effortlessly crosses the $ 100 mark, someone takes Voopoo Drag for themselves. Indeed, a good mod for the money, as well as a great marketing ploy. The manufacturer claims a much faster response time of the board to pressing the fire button. The consumer thinks that this means the mod fries better. However, this is not at all the case. The response time and the time it takes for the board to reach the exposed power are completely different things. And it is the second parameter that is responsible for "roasting". And in this Drag loses not only to the mods on the DND board, but also to the Minikin Boost, which does not really claim to be "hellish heat".

for money

Dismantled everything on the shelves: Drag does not bring down, I want DNA. The question of price remains. Not everyone is ready to give that kind of money for a mod. And then I got the idea to make a selection of the cheapest mods with one criterion: the DNA200 / 250 board. They will still be more expensive than the average Fuchai, but as for me, it's worth it.

  • HCigar VT167 for $ 83.46
Once I had its predecessor - VT133 on the DNA200 board. Well built mod with very weak paint. Especially famously she climbed off the lid, on the case itself it kept at the level of the usual painted mod. Here, the guys, having understood their jamb, made a textured surface.
  • Hotcig DR200 for $ 91.04
This particular mod, only in black, was in my use. A very underrated device. Compact, and together with a lithium-polymer battery it weighs only 100 grams. It's a pity that the chamfer has been removed from the top. This misunderstanding is created by the side at the landing of atomizers with a diameter of 24 mm (hello Drag). The aluminum body is anodized, the coating is very resistant. For 3 months of use, there was not a single scuff on the case. And even painted underneath serial number not erased. It is worth noting that DNA boards are really revealed on Lipolka, which is easier to quickly deliver high power.
  • SBody VapeDroid C2D1 167W for $ 64.19 and SBody VapeDroid C3D1 DNA250W for $ 79.85
Inexpensive mods for 2 and 3 18650 batteries. The price is due to low popularity due to the strange design.
  • Yoko Vape TRX D-N-A 167W for $ 84.59
Bright mod for two 18650 batteries from the subsidiary HUGO Vapor. Also, when registering a wholesale account, you can buy for $ 73.40, but delivery is only paid, although there is an option for $ 5, and it is more expensive to save on a track number.
  • HCigar VT250S for $ 100.82
Ryks-like mod with the ability to work on both two and three 18650 batteries. Compact enough for this form factor, but users note unstable operation in two-battery mode.

As you can see, the market is quite full of relatively affordable DNA's, which is very good. In the near future I plan to buy myself one of the inexpensive mods, after which I will write a detailed story about it. Stay with us!
