Installing wines 10. The main disadvantages of the new OS

Microsoft made sure that the question - how to install Windows 10, caused as few difficulties as possible among users. Moreover, the developers even made this process completely free, even for those who do not have a key. On this page we will introduce you to all installation methods, and also tell you where to get the distribution kit.

All methods can be divided into two large groups - installation from scratch or migration from the previous generation of the operating system. There are 3 approaches for these operations:

  • Through the Update Center;
  • Using the command line;
  • Or using special tools;

The first thing you need to do is choose a path. The first two are available if you are currently running Windows 7 or 8 of any generation. In this case, if you have not disabled regular and scheduled updates, you have probably already seen a similar picture:

Until the updates are installed, you will not see this message. Next, you need to click on the message that the system has loaded a new OS and is ready to install. And you will find yourself in a similar window:

After clicking on the "Continue" button, you will find yourself in the update center, where you will have to click only one button "Get started".

After that, the PC will update itself. Moreover, all processes occur automatically and in the background. You don't need to do anything else. When 10 is installed, the computer will offer to reboot, which can be done not immediately, and postponed a little. The next time you boot, you will have a new OS. If you don't like it, you can roll back to your previous version. If all is well, then it is advisable to delete the Windows.old folder. it takes up a lot of space.

Installing 10s via the command line

This method is also for those who are already working on one of the latest OS versions. It so happens that the method described above does not work. The first step is to enable "Automatic Updates". Without this step, everything described below will not help you in any way to solve the problem. Moreover, the settings should look like this:

Verify, if everything is so, then use the WIN + R keyboard shortcut to invoke the execution environment and enter cmd, and then the command - wuauclt.exe / updatenow + press Enter.

The download will then start. You can check it out in the update center, where you will see the beginning of this process.

As in the first case, the download will also be in the background here, you just need to wait for it to complete and then follow the instructions on the screen, reboot and get the updated OS.

The 2 options above are only for those who already have a different OS installed. If you bought a new device or want to upgrade to the top ten from scratch, then you need instructions on how to install Windows 10 for free from scratch. The easiest option is to buy installation media. It is sold on a USB flash drive, but it is quite expensive, so you can make it yourself, which will save you several thousand rubles. To do this, you will need:

  • Another computer that is already running;
  • Utility;

Run the software on the computer, and in the first window select the item "Create installation media for another computer".

You can either create a media immediately or download an ISO image of the system and mount it later in any way convenient for you.

A USB device is the simplest method and does not require additional steps later. Therefore, we will focus on it. Please note that the media itself must already be in the slot on your PC. The volume of the flash drive is at least 4 GB. The flash drive itself can be selected in the next step, if suddenly you have several connected.

After that, you can forget about this utility for a while and go about your business. Again, it will download the necessary files in the background and mount the image itself. The time for this process depends on the speed of your Internet, as well as the speed of your computer.

This will usually take 20 to 90 minutes. In more detail, the process of creating an installation flash drive is shown in the video:

Installation process from scratch

Everything described above was preparation. Next, the installation itself begins. Before doing this, make sure that there is no information left on your hard drive. Windows 10 necessarily requires formatted media. If the information is there, but you don't need it, then it's okay, during the installation process you can format the drive and continue the process as if it were empty.

The first step is to change the boot order of the devices. To do this, go to the BIOS in the BOOT section. You can get into BIOS when you restart your computer by pressing the DEL or F2 button. You must plug in the USB stick and set it to boot first. Save changes and reboot. In this case, the PC will start working with the installer, and you will see a window like this:

If at the time of creating the bootable media you selected the Russian language and the Single Language option, then at this stage you will not be able to change the settings. We click on the button next and find ourselves on a new screen, where there is only one button - "INSTALL". There is a separate item below - but we are not interested in it. We click on the installation.

At this point, the OS will ask you for a key. For some, it will be automatically detected, since it is built into the BIOS. If it is not determined, then enter it manually. Those who do not have a key can click on the "Skip" button and return to the activation issue later.

The "License Agreement" will appear in front of you. Read it, put a tick in front of the phrase that you accept the rules and click "Next".

You are separated from the beginning of the installation by the last steps. On the newly opened window, you need to select the "Custom" item.

In this case, you can choose the hard drive on which the OS will be installed. If information is stored on the disk, then it will have to be formatted. All this can be done within one window, it is shown below.

For those with multiple partitions, we will clarify that the OS requires at least 50 GB. Even taking into account that it itself only takes up 4 GB on a flash drive, after unpacking it will require more space, including for normal operation. And you shouldn't touch, delete, combine and carry out any other actions with other sections, especially small ones - 100-500 MB. They are technical and are required for the entire PC to function correctly.

After these steps, Windows 10 will start to install. This will take time, but the process can be followed by a progressive number of percentages.

When it's all over, a series of questions awaits you. The first question is about the license. You can skip it again. Those who have already entered the code will no longer see this question.

In the next step, you will be able to configure the work parameters. Even if you don't want to deal with them, we recommend not using the standard ones. The OS collects important information that doesn't need to be shared. All of this can be disabled at this stage.

Then go to create an account. Determine who owns the PC - you or the system administrator. The latter is found only in organizations, because the answer "I" is the most common.

Hello dear user! In this article you will find out. Everyone is afraid of updates, but are they as complicated and harmful as they say about them ?! Let's deal with Windows 10 - perhaps you recently realized that you want to install a new operating system!

Why install Windows 10:

Any update improves the system,
Smart people worked on the new Windows - they know exactly what they are doing,
New hardware, third-party software, drivers, programs are optimized for the latest build of Windows.
You will receive many innovations, perhaps the day will come and you will need them.

How to do this - let's figure out in more detail how to install Windows 10 if:

You already have Windows XP, VISTA, maybe even Windows 7,
You have a new PC or laptop without an operating system,
Nothing works for you, but there was once an operating system until you went to “that” site.
You don’t understand why install Windows at all, because you have MAC OS.

So let's get started!

You already have Windows XP, VISTA or Windows 7, 8.

If you have Windows XP or VISTA, then, unfortunately, you will not be able to upgrade to Windows 10 with saving and transferring data, we will look at how to do this on Windows 7 or 8 later.
Still, you have XP or Vista - save your photos and everything else to a USB flash drive or external HD and go here... Compare your PC or laptop with the minimum system requirements for installing Windows 10 and draw conclusions. If your PC isn't that old, read on below.

Installing using the Windows 10 installation disc:

If you purchased a CD with a copy of Windows 10, then you need to:

1) Restart the PC or laptop, if the BIOS entry window does not appear, most likely you have “fast boot”, you need to disable it through the Control Panel / Power supply / action of the power buttons / change parameters that are currently unavailable / enable fast startup (uncheck) ...

2) Enter the BIOS or UEFI of the motherboard by pressing the Delete button on the keyboard, in order not to miss the BIOS entry window, it is recommended to repeatedly press the button immediately after restarting the PC or laptop. If you have a laptop, then there may be problems. The fact is that on laptops from different manufacturers, the entry conditions may differ, even for the same manufacturer on different models, the entry parameters often differ. Don't be alarmed, see the list below and look for your brand.

ASUS - F1, DEL
DELL - F1, F2, F3, Fn + F1
Lenovo - F2, F12, Del
HP - F1, F2, F10
Sony - F2, F3
Acer - F1, F2, Del
Samsung - F1, F2, F8, F12, Del
Toshiba - Esc, F1

3) Change the system boot parameters, set the boot priority from CD or DVD-ROM, if you have an old PC or laptop, then it looks like this:

You need to go to the First Boot Device tab, it can be called Boot or Boot Device and set boot from CDROM or DVDROM, depending on which drive on your PC, usually DVDROM.
If you have a more or less new PC and its motherboard contains UEFI, then it looks like this:

Different manufacturers create different UEFI interface, in this case we see the version of Gigabyte, don't be alarmed, despite the different graphics, just find the Boot Options directory and set the default boot from CD (DVD) ROM. Next, we save the settings, insert the disc into the drive, press F10 (Save and Exit) or go to the Exit tab and exit with saving the settings.
If everything worked out, the PC or laptop will start booting from the DVD ROM, a message will appear on a black screen “ Press any key to boot from CD or DVD”, Press the Enter or F8 key, then you just need to follow the Windows 10 installation guide.

4) Install windows 10, following the installation guide, format the hard drive and, if desired, partition it.

So, you have the last step, what does it look like? If you did everything correctly, the Windows 10 installer will start working, you will see such a window. We select Russian language, input method and press the button next.

Then, in the next window, click INSTALL:

If you do not have a key or you want to enter it later, you can purchase it on the Microsoft website, then click skip. In the next window, put a tick with the mouse and accept the terms of the license, click next.
In the next window, we read two tabs and remember that your OS does not support upgrading to Windows 10, select the item “Custom: Windows installation only”.

So we come to the main thing, after choosing the type of installation, a window for formatting hard drives will open and choosing where to install Windows 10.

In our case, it is necessary to format the "main" partition on which XP or Vista was installed. If desired, if the hard disk is divided into 2 or more partitions, you can delete them and leave one partition on which the new Windows OS will be installed. It is recommended to create or leave all partitions except the main one, provided that the hard disk space exceeds 320 GB. After editing the hard disk partitions, you must click next, after which the Windows installation process will begin.

5) After unpacking and installing the files and restarting the PC, it is advisable to select the item “use standard parameters” of the OS settings. After that, exciting days of operating Windows 10 await you. If your computer has not started booting from the hard drive, you need to enter the BIOS again and return the boot priority from the HDD or SSD, hard drive, reboot and use Windows 10.

Installing Windows 10 using a USB flash drive:

Consider another situation, you want to install Windows 10, you do not have a disk, and you are not going to buy it. There is another way, take out your USB flash drive and read below.
So, you need a flash drive and an active computer, in our case we will consider the version of the working OS XP or VISTA.

Insert the USB flash drive into the connector of your PC or laptop and enter here... This link is to Microsoft official site. Here it is worth remembering Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, download the OS update tool to Windows 10, and you can update the system with saving the parameters and files, unless of course you already have Windows 7 or 8, you also need to take into account that the free update is no longer valid, so you may need a license key.
Let's return to our situation in order to download a ready-made image of * Windows 10 from the developer's site or another site. Come in here and click download tool now.

After downloading, right-click the manipulator (mouse) on the downloaded file and select - run as administrator. Accept the terms of the license agreement and on the “what you want to do” page select “Create installation media for another computer”, click next.

Select the required media:
USB device
ISO file

If you burned the ISO image, then you need to repeat the steps described in paragraphs 1,2,3 of the installation using the Windows 10 installation disc.

If, for some reason, you were unable to write the ISO file through the installer, then this can be done using any image creation program, such as: Windows USB / DVD Tool, DAEMON Tools, UltraISO, etc.
The program must be downloaded, installed and using it to burn the downloaded ISO image to a USB flash drive or DVD disc.

You have a new PC or laptop without an operating system

If you bought a new PC or laptop without an operating system, you can either install windows 10 from disk, in the same order as in points 1, 2, 3, etc., or, if you have a second PC or access to a neighbor's computer, 10 using his computer and install in the same order from a USB flash drive or DVD ...

Nothing works for you, but there was once an operating system until you went to “that” site.

If your PC or laptop is in working order and the BIOS boots, install Windows 10 in the same order.

Successful operation of Windows OS, dear user, see you soon!

I have a small article on my website about installing Windows 10 cleanly. However, apparently, the instructions presented in it are not enough for everyone - some clarifying questions constantly appear in the comments, and people who "Everything was done as it was written - but nothing works"... That is why today I decided to write the most detailed (literally micro-step) guide about how to reinstall the top ten- such detailed instructions so that even people who are very inexperienced in computers understand what is being done and how.

So, you decided to delete all existing information from your computer along with the current operating system and install windows 10 again. For what reasons you decide to do this, it is not so important. However, we will outline some situations when it is better to put the top ten again than trying to reanimate an existing system:

  • The computer slows down significantly compared to the original speed.
  • Systematic errors in work.
  • Deep infection by viruses.
  • An inexplicable subjective desire to have a clean system (personally, I often have this) is a fad, like that.

Windows 10 Installer

In order to reinstall the Windows 10 operating system, we need a free evening and a free flash drive with a volume of 4 gigabytes or more. First, take your USB drive (aka a flash drive) and make sure that there is nothing you need on it - because then all information from there will be deleted.

Before reinstalling Windows 10, we need to create a so-called installation media- write tens files to the USB flash drive. To do this, you need to go to this Microsoft page and by pressing the button " Download the tool now"(It is the second on the page - below), download the necessary program to your computer and start its installation. The program is called MediaCreationTool. It should be downloaded immediately before installing the operating system. This will give you a fresh top ten with all the latest important updates.

At one time, when launching the MediaCreationTool utility, error 80072f76 0x20017... It was associated with "shoals" exclusively on the side of Microsoft and arose all over the world from September to December 2017. At the moment, the problem has been resolved, but in such cases, you can use a "crutch" to download the Windows 10 image from the official website. You can download the top ten directly by replacing the user agent in the browser with Apple Safari. Everything is simple there: press F12 in the Edge browser - then go to the "Emulation" tab - change the user agent string to "Apple Safari (iPad)" - download the necessary images from Micosoft official website(described in more detail here in English). If you do not have access to the Edge browser due to the lack of Windows 10 anywhere and you decide to trust me (by the way, it is completely in vain - because you cannot trust anyone on the Internet), then here I have links to ISO files in Mega cloud storage with the latest versions of Windows 10 as of December 2017: 32 bit and 64 bit. I will say right away that downloading from there will most likely be slow. It is faster to use the method with the official website and change the agent in the browser. After downloading the ISO image from Windows 10 using any of the described methods, you need to create a bootable USB flash drive from this installation image. This can be done using the utility Rufus.

So, on any computer, run MediaCreationTool and to begin with, as is usually the case, we accept the terms of the decision.

Then we wait a few seconds while the preparation is in progress. Then we select the second item - "Create installation media for another computer." Attention! Even if you will be installing Windows 10 on the same computer, it is still better to select item 2. The update (1 point) takes much longer, it provides for the ability to save personal files and settings, but a lot of garbage remains in the system.

In the next step, to record the Windows 10 setup program, you must select the architecture (you can also choose the language) of the future system: 64-bit or 32-bit. If the reinstallation will be performed on the same computer on which the USB flash drive is being created, then it is best to leave a check mark on the "Use the recommended settings for this computer" item. If you plan to install the "top ten" on another machine, then in order to choose the required bit depth, you can read the article "". Leave the Release parameter unchanged: Windows 10.

At the next step, you need to select the medium on which we will write the files of the Windows 10 operating system - item 1 "USB flash drive". Then we select the USB flash drive that was previously inserted into the computer.

After that, the download will begin first, and then the creation of the Windows 10 media (that is, recording to the USB flash drive). This process is slow. And in many respects it depends on the speed of your Internet connection. During the download, about 3 gigabytes of data will be transferred to your computer. On my not the fastest 2010 laptop, downloading the tens and creating a bootable USB flash drive took exactly one hour .

Step-by-step installation of Windows 10 from a USB flash drive

Now that the Windows 10 files have been successfully written by us to the USB flash drive, we can proceed directly to the installation of the "dozens". It is better to save all the necessary files from your computer somewhere else. This will not only make the installation easier and faster, but will also provide better operating system performance in the future.

Step 1. Prepare for installation

To install windows 10, first you need to start the computer not as usual - from a hard disk, but from a USB flash drive. This is done on different models of computers and laptops in their own way. As a rule, to enter the BIOS or UEFI-BIOS, immediately after pressing the power button on the computer, you must press one of the following buttons: F2, F12, F7, F9, Del, or another. This is described in detail in the instructions for the equipment. But there is a "poke method". In my experience, most often you could enter the BIOS using F2 or Del.

So, the computer has just started up, and we are pressing our button with all our might to enter the BIOS or UEFI-BIOS. We enter and change the boot priority, setting your USB in the first place instead of the hard drive.

Configuring Windows 10 installation from a USB flash drive for BIOS

For BIOS, moving to the right with the arrow, you need to go to the Boot tab. All possible devices for loading will be indicated below, so that the computer boots first of all from a USB flash drive, you need to raise the item with it (in the figure it is the lowest) to the first position. To do this, we go down to it with the usual down arrow, but we move the items in the list with the F6 (up) and F7 (down) keys. (There may be other buttons for navigating the BIOS - they will be named on the right and below.) I stood on the USB item I needed and pressed the F6 key 4 times. In general, you need to ensure that your USB device (flash drive) is in the 1st place in the boot list.

Configuring Windows 10 installation from a USB flash drive for UEFI-BIOS

By analogy with the BIOS, everything is done in the more modern UEFI program. We also go there by pressing one of the function keys when the computer boots (it turned out to be Del for me). Then we go to the menu responsible for setting the boot and select our USB flash drive as the first number. In UEFI, as a rule, you can use a mouse - so everything is easier here.

The details of the BIOS or UEFI-BIOS settings for booting into flash drives may differ from those described depending on your computer or laptop model. In the comments below on this page, do not hesitate to ask questions if something is not clear to you.

Step 2. Install Windows 10

After we have made the necessary settings in the BIOS, we restart the computer and see that the Windows 10 installation process begins. To begin with, the “tens” logo simply appears, then all sorts of questions. At first, we leave everything as it is.

The next step is to select the item "I do not have a product key". If Windows 10 has already been activated on your machine, then the license has already been tied to it and will be automatically confirmed after installation.

Now you will need to select the version of the installed operating system: Pro or Home. If you do not know which one to choose, then stop at Domashnaya - with a probability of 99% you had it.

At the next step, we are once again offered to save any data from the operating system existing on the hard disk, but we once again refuse (and do absolutely right) and select the item “ Custom: Windows installation only (advanced users)».

At the next stage, all partitions of the hard disk appear in front of us. If the system is completely cleaned up, then personally I would prefer to delete each of these volumes in turn. Remains "Unallocated space on disk0" (as in my picture). This is where we'll install Windows 10. You don't need to create anything. Section C will appear on its own during the installation process. Just click "Next".

After a while, the computer will restart. (If after that it will ask you to press any key, then you should not do this - otherwise the Windows installation will start over).

The moment you reboot is better remove the USB stick from the USB port... If this is not done, then booting from the flash drive will remain a priority and the installation of Windows 10 will start over.

And the installation will continue.

Further, the installation will be performed on the blue screen. First, you will be prompted to "Increase the speed of work". You can use the standard parameters, but I prefer to go into the settings and disable all five items.

At the next stage, "Setting parameters", you can also turn off the three suggested items.

At the next step, I leave active items 1 and 3: "Use SmartScreen Web Services" and "Receive updates from other PCs ..." The second is disabled.

In the next step, we have three options:

  • Sign in with an existing Microsoft account.
  • If not, you can create an account.
  • Skip this step and continue with a local account.

Personally, I appreciate the ability to sync settings and files in the cloud. Therefore, I always use a Microsoft account. And I advise you to start and use it. To do this, you just need to enter your email address and come up with a password (numbers and Latin letters). In the next step, for privacy reasons, it's best to uncheck both boxes.

Now, to enter your account on your computer, you will need to enter your email address and password. However, in the next step, this process can be greatly simplified by coming up with a simple 4-digit PIN code for authorization. Attention! The pin code is valid on one computer only.

This step, like the previous ones, can be skipped, but personally I prefer to set a simple PIN-code and enter it if necessary, rather than a more complex password.

The installation is almost complete. In the remaining time, the screen will sequentially change the greeting inscriptions: "Hello", "We are glad that you are with us", "Preparation is in progress, do not turn off the computer" and others. After the word "Getting Started", the long-awaited desktop finally appears.

Now it is very desirable to get several necessary updates and all the necessary drivers as soon as possible (in Windows 10, it is extremely rare to install drivers manually - they are installed here automatically, through the update center). To do this, go to the "Start" menu, select the gear icon.

The Options tool starts. In it we go: "Update and Security", then "Check for Updates". If there is nothing, then after some time something will surely appear.

After all updates and drivers for Windows 10 are installed, you can perform the initial setup of a clean system to make it easier to use. For example, I disable the login password. I talk about all this in more detail in the article “

It's time to dwell on the question, is it worth installing Windows 10, after its release, most new laptops and computers are delivered on the basis of "dozens", in fact, all software is adapted for the new OS and released to work in its environment.

Let's talk about whether it makes sense if before that you used the "seven" or "eight", along the way, considering the main "pros" and "cons" of the new operating system.

Let's start, perhaps, with the reasons why you should wait a little with the transition to the top ten (the information is given for owners of exclusively licensed copies of previous operating systems).

One of the important factors that contributed to the rapid adoption of Windows 10 is its free distribution. The price of computers / laptops supplied based on the new OS does not include the price of the pre-installed operating system.

For a whole year after its release, it was possible to upgrade from Windows 7-8.1 completely free of charge, however, only to the one or the closest OS edition used on the PC (if there was Home, then it was not possible to get the professional version for free).

There is a chance to try a new system without losing data and with the function of downgrading the previous version of Windows. Microsoft allows you to upgrade to "ten" and operate it for up to one month with the ability to rollback to the previous version of Windows. Yes, there are often problems with this, but the fact of the existence of a function remains a fact.

The next reason to upgrade to Windows 10 is for version 8.1 users. The new OS took into account the wishes of the user audience and paid close attention to fixing existing problems.

Significant changes have affected the user interface: it has become less adapted for tablets and other touch devices, and is quite adequate for users of laptops and computers. At the same time, the upgrade from Windows 8.1 to the "dozen" is carried out absolutely painlessly and without loss of information.

Fans of the classics, who have been working in the Windows 7 environment for many years, will have to slightly rebuild and adapt to the new graphical environment, first of all, the moment concerns the presence of the "Options" menu, Win + X. The revised Start will be more familiar and familiar for fans of the "seven" than for those who upgrade from Windows 8.1.

The list of new functions will delight and interest the majority of users. Support for virtual desktops without third-party applications, which has long been implemented in a number of Linux distributions, however, with some functional limitations, will make virtually everyone smile. An advanced crash and error recovery system will facilitate the process of reanimating the operating system.

Noteworthy for laptops and netbooks will be the ability to bind touchpad gestures to specific functions, as is done in Mac OS.

To work with a large number of windows, the function of intelligent snapping of application windows and Explorer has been improved with several improvements.

Much attention has also been paid to working with multi-display systems. The following innovations should not be bypassed:

  1. redesigned parental controls;
  2. improved connectivity and monitors over wireless communication channels;
  3. "Storage";
  4. console authorization in the system;
  5. shortcuts in the left Start frame;
  6. reliable integrated protector.

Some of the features are improving with the release of updates, others, while missing, are being added and will be added. As for the "seven" and "eight", they will be updated for some time, but the updates will relate exclusively to the security of the system.

For avid gamers, installing Windows 10 will provide even more options: it supports the updated DirectX API revision 12. If you own a powerful computer with a DX12 graphics card, be sure to update, this will get the opportunity to evaluate new games based on the latest DirectX.

The “tens” are the same as for its predecessors, despite the fact that the latest OS from Microsoft is more productive, especially if you turn off unnecessary visual effects, biometric services and unused services.

Full support for SSD and the absence of the need to manually configure the system if it is installed on a solid-state drive should be written into the Windows 10 asset if you purchased a digital drive based on flash memory.

Reasons not to install

Renewal is the first and important factor that serves as a reason not to move to the top ten.

When upgrading to Windows 10, there may be problems that not every novice user can cope with without the help of outsiders or at least thematic articles on the Internet.

The most common causes of errors are:

  • an attempt to update a pirated version of Windows;
  • lack of free space on the system volume or the presence of bad sectors on it;
  • use of outdated equipment (which is 5 or more years old).

These and many other problems are quite easy to solve (with the exception of purchasing a new laptop), if you know how, the very fact of their presence sometimes discourages any desire to switch to Windows 10.

So long after its release, Windows 10 is still damp. The next updates bring numerous fixes to it, also concerning the interface of the operating system.

Even now, developers are unable to resolve some of the driver compatibility issues and conflicts that arise when working with old applications or on outdated hardware.

Some programs released a couple of years ago that are currently not supported sometimes refuse to work in the new environment, even in compatibility mode. Search, Start, and App Store failures are ubiquitous, and spontaneous blue screens don't surprise anyone.

Espionage is a very serious problem for the top ten. Although, compared to smartphones that provide significantly more data to intelligence agencies and multinationals, Windows 10 does not hide that it shares everything it can with Microsoft servers, like any browser.

With surveillance it is understandable: in this way, Microsoft slips advertisements that correspond to the interests of the user in order to earn money themselves and siphon some finances from their users.

Disabling surveillance is easy, read the corresponding article about this.

Windows 10 Defender has become more independent, which, along with the inability to refuse updates, makes the concept of skynet a reality. So, for example, Windows 10 Defender can uninstall any pirated game or application without warning. Even if such software remains on the PC, it may simply not start due to the absence of any file. This document can be deleted by the Defender of the Ten or moved to quarantine.

In an effort to ensure the highest possible security of their system, Microsoft has established a ban on disabling the Defender and refusing updates. You cannot deactivate the integrated Defender in the top ten even after installing the anti-virus program, and you will not be able to disable updates without manually editing a pair of registry keys.

If you use a device that came with a licensed version of the "seven" or Windows 8.1 and do not want additional problems, you should temporarily refuse to switch to Windows 10.

This section provides concise information and tips from both Microsoft and regular users to make it easier to replace an operating system with a new one.

  1. If you encounter problems with the graphics adapter drivers (or any other device), you should remove the problematic software, download the driver from the hardware support site and install it manually using the integrated installer or Device Manager. To completely remove information about the driver of any video card from the system, use the Display Driver Uninstaller application;
  2. Provide the required amount of free space on the system disk, which will be required for storing a copy of the old system, installing a new OS, software, storing temporary files, system rollback points, etc.

From user feedback on the new operating system, several conclusions can be drawn:

  • a significant part of the negativity actually repeats the dirt poured seven years ago on Windows 7;
  • the operating system really works faster if you disable unnecessary services;
  • Windows 10 is engaged in espionage and frankly informs the user about it;
  • Windows 10 is required for owners of powerful gaming devices due to support for DirectX 12th version.

In order to evaluate all the pros and cons of the new operating system, test it and draw your own conclusions, you need to install it yourself and check everything on your own hardware.

I know that it has been quite a long time since Windows 10 came out, but still, better later than never, and therefore I decided to write a small guide on how to install Windows 10 from a flash drive or disk. We already have several articles on our site on how you can upgrade to Windows 10 using a notification update or an installation utility from the Microsoft website.

Well, now I will show how you can completely install Windows 10 from scratch using a bootable USB flash drive or a burned disk. But, for starters, we will have to download the image and make the same installation USB flash drive with Windows 10 or write the image to a disk so that we can proceed with the installation. You can find how to write an image to a disk or usb drive by following the links that I gave above.

Well, if you already have everything, let's go directly to the process of installing Windows 10 on your computer.

Installing Windows 10

Having inserted the installation USB drive into the computer, we boot from it using the boot menu or by changing the boot priority in the BIOS.

After the computer starts, when the prompt to start from disk appears, do not forget to press any key on the keyboard in order to get to the Windows 10 installation menu.

It will take a few seconds of preparation for installation and a standard window for selecting the language to be installed and the keyboard layout will appear. Here we select everything at our discretion and click "Next".

Since we do not want to restore the system, but to install a new one, we click on the "Install" button.

You will be prompted to enter a license key, if you have one - enter it and go to the next step, otherwise click on the line "I do not have a key".

We accept the license agreement. By the way, if you are wondering what Microsoft's surveillance of users is, I recommend that you read this agreement as it is written about it.

When choosing the type of installation, select the option "Custom: Windows installation only".

Now we select the drive where Windows 10 will be installed, formatting it and choosing, go ahead.

This will go through the normal Windows 10 setup process, which will take 10 to 20 minutes.

Once completed, the system will reboot and it will take several minutes to prepare various devices and components.

Once loaded, we should choose to use the default settings. If you wish, you can set all the settings manually, but I recommend doing this for more experienced PC users.

When asked who owns the computer, choose the second option.

Further, we can connect to the system using a Microsoft account, if you have one, of course. Also, you can register it or make a local account. Since I usually use the latter option, I'll show you how to configure and install Windwos 10 using its example.

So, click on the item "Skip this step".

It will take a few minutes again to prepare the system.

Well, in the end, the Winodws 10 desktop will appear in front of you.

Well, and you don't have much left, configure the system, if you wish, uninstall unnecessary applications and disable tracking and install all the missing drivers.

Installing Windows 10 - overview, step by step, instructions, from disk, error

Software developers strive to make the installation process of their products as easy as possible. This allows this procedure to be carried out even by those users who do not have such skills. The main thing is to know certain information and have an impressive amount of patience.

Major innovations

Each new version of the operating system involves a whole list of innovations. The tenth issue is characterized by the following innovations:

Back in September 2014, the Technical Preview version became available for download. However, it is characterized by a sufficient number of bugs and errors. Thus, it fully confirms the status of "draft".

Relatively recently (in April 2015), an updated Insider Preview appeared. It fixes some bugs (for example, the appearance of a "black screen"). It is provided free of charge - there is a download link and keys on the Microsoft website.

Moreover, there is a unique opportunity - to update the 7th or 8th generation OS to the 10th. This procedure is carried out completely free of charge, the main thing is that Windows is licensed.

Important! Even an unlicensed version of the seven or eight can be updated, but it will turn into a pirated ten. Therefore, it is easiest for pirate users to download a full-fledged licensed version, for so far it is distributed free of charge.

Unfortunately, some users complain that activation flies regularly. The only way to fix this problem is to disable updates.

System Requirements

Oddly enough, the computer requirements for Windows 10 are practically the same as those for versions 7 and 8.

However, it is worth describing them:

  1. dual-core process with a clock frequency of 1 GHz;
  2. RAM: at least 1 GB (32-bit) and 2 GB (64-bit);
  3. free space on the hard drive at least 16 GB (more may be required for stable operation);
  4. video card that supports DirectX 9;
  5. an Internet connection is required to activate.

Please note, if you are in doubt about the performance of your PC, then don't worry. Before starting the installation, the system diagnoses your hardware, and if it does not meet the requirements, a corresponding message will appear.

Preparing for installation

You can install the OS using a CD or a bootable USB flash drive. The first method is usually more reliable.

Creating a disc with BurnAware Free

If you want to install from a disc, you need to burn it in a certain way. The BurnAware utility will help us with this.

This procedure is performed as follows:

The common error 0x80070570 can appear if the used disk is damaged. Therefore, only use a new disc.

You can also use other programs such as UltraISO or Nero. However, BurnAware is easy to use and lightweight. Nero is very demanding on the system, moreover, it eats up RAM a lot.

Step-by-step installation of Windows 10

If you want to upgrade to Windows 10, the installation instructions will help you with this. Almost all procedures are automated. Therefore, a minimum of knowledge and skills is required from the user.

Activating boot from disk

To start the installation, you need to climb a little in the BIOS.

You will need to do the following:

Installation itself

In some cases, error 0x80070017 may appear.

If you are sure that there are no problems with the disk, you should pay attention to the following aspects:

Photo: start copying system files

OS customization

After the installation is complete (depending on PC performance), you will be prompted to connect to available Wi-Fi networks. The Internet will be needed for activation, so connect it. If you have wired or 3G internet, you can activate it later.

Then a window with settings will appear. You will be presented with two options: automatic (Use express) or manual (Customize) settings. It is best to use the second option, as these options are suitable for most users.

If you want to do everything "for yourself", then it will be possible to customize such aspects as:

  • enable / disable updates;
  • their frequency;
  • permission to send reports.

Then a window will appear in which you will need to enter your account information. If you do not have it, you will have to register. To do this, you will need an e-mail box and Internet access.

The next window will ask you to set up your OneDrive storage. After that, click Next and after a while the desktop will appear in front of you. This means that the installation is complete.

video: Overview of all new features

Installing drivers

Finally, you will need to install all the required drivers. If you have the appropriate disc (issued when purchasing a PC), then just insert it and follow the instructions.

In its absence, you can solve this problem in the following ways:

  • install driver manager. An internet connection is required for it to work;
  • download the driver package;
  • search manually for each device. To do this, we will use the identification number (it can be found in the device properties). We insert this set of letters and numbers into the search engine. Next, we find an option suitable for our system.

It is worth noting that almost all drivers that are compatible with Windows 7 and 8 are suitable for 10. Therefore, if you have them, write them to a disk or USB flash drive before starting the OS installation.

That's all. As you can see, the process of installing a new operating system is not that difficult. Remember that if you do not like the "ten", you can return to an earlier Windows at any time. To do this, you will need to insert a boot disk (or flash drive) and select the "update" item.

How to install Windows 10

The Microsoft Windows 10 operating system can be installed on a computer (laptop) from a DVD or an installation flash drive. Carefully read the detailed instructions on how to clean install Windows 10 via BIOS. To install, we need a Windows 10 distribution kit on a DVD or on a USB flash drive. If you have already purchased a licensed disc or a bootable USB flash drive from Microsoft, then you can immediately proceed with the installation, if not, you need to use the tools to create your own installation media using a USB flash drive or DVD. How to do this, read here - Download Windows 10 - Original image from Microsoft.

Attention! Before installing any edition of Windows 10, you should definitely take care of purchasing License Keys, and there should be no problems with activating the license. All cracks, activators and hacking programs, you use in violation of the license rules. Microsoft products are protected by copyright. This means that the copyright holder retains the exclusive rights to the software. To purchase the product, you must agree to the terms of the license (which leads to the acquisition of a number of limited rights by the person purchasing the product) under which the software is distributed ("buy a license")

1 - Before installing any operating system on a computer / laptop, it is important to know the basic rules - Three important steps before installing all versions of operating systems. 2 - Insert a disc with the Windows 10 distribution kit or a prepared bootable flash drive into the USB port into the DVD drive. 3 - We go into BIOS. We read the instructions - How to enter the BIOS. 4 - Our task is that after rebooting, the computer does not boot from the hard disk as usual, but from the boot device that you are currently using.

5 - The first window after downloading the Windows 10 installer (Fig. 1). You will need to select the language of the installation and the system and click the "Next" button.

6 - Click the Install button to start installing Windows (Fig. 2)

7 - Installation process (Fig. 3)

8 - Enter the Windows 10 license key for activation (Fig. 4)

9 - We read and accept the terms of the license agreement. Check the box. (Fig. 5)

10 - Select the type of installation - Custom: Windows installation only (for advanced users). (Fig. 6)

11 -Next stage - Selecting the installation section. To install as in our example, you should delete all of your partitions, one at a time. The result is Unallocated disk space (Fig. 7). This should be done in the event that you do not have the necessary information on your hard disk, or you have worried about this in advance, and copied all the necessary information (photos, documents, programs, etc.), for example, to a USB flash drive. And you can, of course, delete all partitions, except for the D drive, where you have all your information, here you should be guided by the size, the D drive is usually always larger. In order not to be mistaken, you need to remember the sizes of all disks before rearranging the system.

12- Let's look at our example. Marking unallocated disk space (Fig. 8)

13- In our example, the entire volume of the hard disk is 100 Gigabytes with kopecks (Fig. 9), mark in the Size area, approximately 60 Gigabytes (Fig. 9). This is quite enough for Windows 10 for a hard drive of the same size as ours. You may have a different size hard drive, but do not allocate a C partition, less than 50-60 GB. If you have an HDD of 500 or more gigabytes, the best option would be to allocate a partition for the C - 90-100 GB., It is no longer needed, there is no need, but you should not make exactly 25 GB. This size is needed only for the system itself, but in addition to the system, you will install on the C drive in the future and other programs you need, for example Office. Therefore, do not skimp, and allocate at least 60 GB for the C-Disk. And set aside the remaining gigabytes for drive D.

Another option - In case you already had a system, just delete the first and second partitions to leave a 3-partition, which is drive-D. The deleted 1 and 2 sections are converted into unallocated space, then select, and without changing the values in the Size area, click Create.

15- As you can see (Fig. 11), we have created 1 and 2 sections. Partition 1 - Reserved by the system, and the Second partition is our C drive, where we will install Windows 10.

16- You can also see the remaining unallocated space that we are allocating (Fig. 12).

17- Without changing the values in the "Size" area, click "Create" (Fig.13).

18- Section 3 is created (Fig. 14). Further, this is the section of our disk-D. You can format it right away, select it.

19- Click Format (Fig. 15).

21- Section 3 - formatted (Fig. 17)

22- Select Section 2 (Fig. 18), where the operating system will be installed.

24- Windows 10 installation has started (Fig. 20), you can leave for 10-15 minutes while the process takes place. Installation time depends on the power of your computer.

25- The system is automatically rebooted (Fig. 21).

26- Continue with installation. The process of preparing devices for operation (Fig. 22, 23)

27- The next step is "Parameters" (Fig.24). If you use this instruction to install the OS, then for you, without any problems, you should select the item - "Use standard parameters." The "Configure" item is for more experienced users. You can always return to these settings after installing the system.

28- At the next stage, we select the mode of using the computer on the network. If this is a home computer, select the option (Item 2) - This computer belongs to me (Fig. 25).

29- Create account (Fig. 26) Login with Microsoft account: Enter your Microsoft account email and password. Here you can also create a new Microsoft account if you don't already have one. You can skip this step and create a regular Local account.

30- We are greeted by the operating system Windows 10, we wait a little while the computer is being prepared for the first start (Fig. 27-31)

31-The installation of our Windows 10 operating system (Fig. 32) was successful. On the desktop, we have one shortcut "Trash". How to configure the rest of the shortcuts (Icons) read here.

All the best, and success in further customizing Windows 10.

Installing Windows 10

It is important!

Please note that the new version of the operating system from Microsoft is a pre-release or Technical Preview of the software, which means that it is not finalized, something will be changed and added in the process.

Before installation

So, to install, we need a downloaded Windows 10 image file (ISO format) written to a DVD or USB flash drive.

If you have any difficulties with recording the image to the media, you can read the following articles:

Writing Windows 7 to a USB flash drive

Burning a Windows 7 Image to Disc Recording a Windows 10 image is done in a similar way. When the preparation for installation is complete, and you have a Windows 10 media and a free partition for this, you need to restart your computer and go to BIOS (usually using the DEL key). Next, you need to go to the section responsible for installing devices to boot the OS. So find the FIRST BOOT DEVICE, BOOT or BOOT DEVICE menu. In this section, you need to install a DVD drive (if installing from a disc) or an HDD disk (your flash drive).

After saving the changes (As a rule, you need to press F10, then Y), exit the BIOS.

If everything is done correctly, after the reboot you will see the following:

  • if using a DVD, you will see “Press any key to load from CD ...”. You need to press any key immediately, because after a while (about 10 seconds) the download will start from the next device installed in the BIOS to boot.
  • if you used a flash drive, the installation will start immediately.
Remember that when installing an operating system, you must be careful and careful with functions, the meaning of which you do not fully understand. Only you are responsible for the result of your actions. After that, the “Windows Setup” window should appear on the screen (Fig. 1). Here you need to select one of the four available interface and keyboard languages (American English, British English, Simplified Chinese and Portuguese), as well as the time format.
