By clicking the upper left line in the program, you must select "Restore driver" or "Install driver".
Drivers can be updated and thus: "Control Panel"? "Device Manager" ? choice of phone? Update Drivers.
If this procedure does not help, the user should try to reinstall the program itself. Perhaps, the old version was originally installed, or the latest, however, is incorrect.
Go to Add or Remove Programs (Programs and Features in Windows 7) and uninstall the previous version of Samsung Kies. Then you should clean the registry - for example, using the CC Cleaner program, but this is not required.
After uninstalling the program, you need to restart your computer and install its latest version by downloading it from the official Samsung Kies website. It is recommended to disable your antivirus software before installation.
When installing the program, select "Run as administrator" from the context menu.

Other cases

Sometimes the reason may be that a file with an overly long extension is saved on the memory card or in the built-in memory of the mobile device.
You can try removing the memory card. If such a file is still in the phone, you can temporarily move them to a separate folder on your PC. It is better not to delete those files, the purpose of which is unknown, and at the end of the work, just copy them back.
If the reason has not yet been found, it is better to try to contact a specialist.

In Samsung Kies, there is a special wizard that can fix the connection problem. This method is suitable if the computer sees the phone, but the program does not.

You need to click "Troubleshooting a connection error" and wait a while until the wizard completes its work. But as practice shows, this method rarely works.
